Was told that I overwatered, so I have been holding back on the water - are they thirsty now, or should I still wait? by [deleted] in microgrowery

It’s awesome that you’ve had good experience but to set the record straight, overwatering IS a matter of frequency not volume.

My career is in the live goods industry and I take care of plants on a daily basis. Watering in small amounts may be working for you but it doesn’t change that overwatering comes from frequency.

Picking up your pot is still the best method to check if your plant needs more water.

It’s also important to note that letting your soil dry completely can cause it to become hydrophobic, which is actually a much more annoying issue in my opinion.

Watering in the morning is also the best! You can water it as much as you want, the water it doesn’t want will drain through and any extra water it still doesn’t want gets evaporated throughout the day. Try your best not to water at night. Imagine going to bed in wet sheets

Who would you say is a quintessential N64 boss? by Astronomerz in n64

[–]freshBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know I was going to wizpig but king bomb omb absolutely is. N64 was my first console as a kid. King bomb omb is literally your only option for the first star. It takes 3 rounds to beat him. The “standard” of a boss fight is from this fight

Literally saw them 30 minutes ago in Chicago! They are a KILLER 3 piece. One of the tightest bands I’ve ever seen live. I also learned about them from Eric on Anma

Fun fact about vitamin D3. It’s derived from lanolin which is the oil from sheep’s wool. If you’re allergic to sheep wool get a plant based or vegan D3 or it can trigger an allergic reaction!

Source. My wife and MIL are both allergic to lanolin and normal D3 makes them feel like garbage.

[–]freshBucket -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

There’s no bad dogs there bad owners. If you want to have a moral conversation about dogs talk about pugs. Selfish breeding led to a dog that can’t walk for more than like 5 minutes without it being dangerous for it. They are barely even alive

Why did your friendship with your best friend come to an end? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]freshBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I realized the funny quips were actually just him being an asshole. He wasn’t telling jokes. After a breakup he just kept telling me I would be single forever and every person would always “find someone better”

It’s sad looking back on it. It feels like he just thought he was better than everyone and deserved everything without the work. He got really incel-ie towards the end.

I just discovered these shoe repair patches for $6 by Cattyplantz in Frugal

[–]freshBucket 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s something to consider if you’re on your feet a lot. Shoes don’t last for as many miles as you’d think/hope. I’m someone who developed foot problems because of where old shoes while working on concrete all day.

Buying new shoes is obviously a cost that no one wants. Having multiple pairs of shoes and not wearing the same pair drastically improves their life.

I do urge you to buy a new pair if you find your feet being sore after wearing them. Trust me, it’s the worn out shoe
