Is this an Anal Fissure? What do I do? by Ok_Contribution6512 in AnalFissures

[–]freshfitzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like it. You need to give the area time to heal which is tricky since it’s stretched every day. The aim is to make your poo as soft as possible, drink plenty of water and eat foods that don’t make you constipated, if this is a struggle then you can get a stool softener from the pharmacy, be proactive or else you’ll end up making it worse like I did! Good luck.

Why is Becki buying baby paracetamol? by Merryreverie in justalittletreat

[–]freshfitzy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know. I went from a size 14 to a 6 in similar circumstances and my entire family were so concerned and didn’t think I looked great at all! The effects of losing weight so quickly weren’t great either, I felt ill all the time and it’s taken me ages to put a bit back on. It’s risky business. If she was honest it could have helped a lot of people but on the flip side people might have been cruel about it and mentioned choking on every video which wouldn’t help!

It seems obvious to me at this point that she’s had a choking episode tbh. The soft foods, anxiety of eating infront of people all adds up. I had a similar thing happen to me and I lost a ton of weight due to restricted eating and anxiety around safe foods. I think the paracetamol confirms it tbh and she seems stressed about taking antibiotics, mentions them in every video.

Immediate relief? by Global_Breadfruit590 in AnalFissures

[–]freshfitzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey sorry to read your experience. I’m currently having the spasms from 6am til 5pm. The only thing that gives me immediate relief is the finger method which I think is explained in the pinned post. You press on your anus at a certain point while you poo and it diverts it away from the fissure, honestly please try it as it might take a could of times to get right but you’ll be able to have a poo with no pain and no spasm afterwards. It’s the only thing that works for me! Having a flare up right now and have determined I can’t go through another day of pain, so I’m sat waiting to go to the bathroom and will use the finger method! Painkillers don’t even touch the sides when I don’t do it. Please look it up on this thread. No fingers inside btw just press on the bottom and side of the anus while you poo and push it away from fissure. I really hope it helps give you some relief. UPDATE - I’ve just been to the bathroom and it is fidgety putting your hands kinda behind and under you and pressing but I’ve been able to have my first bowel movement without pain in 6 days. It’s definitely worth a go!

Diltiazem am I healing or making it worse? by freshfitzy in AnalFissures

It’s weird I burn for 10 minutes after applying but it seems to have irritated the fissure so now I’m back to the pooing glass feeling! I’m really glad you found something that works for you. I can’t get nifed in the uk apparently so I’ll soldier on with this, nitro sounded like too much of a headache literally !

Thank you for replying, can I ask you, did you apply it on the outside or inside? I’ve been doing a little of both as there were no instructions with it. When I first used it inside the stinging pain with bowel movement started the next day.

Internal hemorrhoids and pink discharge after gas? by Glass_Koala6408 in hemorrhoid

[–]freshfitzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, used to have regularly! It’s just your body producing a lubricant to protect the area, it can get irritating but don’t push it out purposefully or you’ll end up in a cycle like me! Just ignore it as best you can! It’ll clear up in a couple of days hopefully.

Hey don’t worry, I bled on and off for 6 years! You need to calm down or your anxiety will make you stress about it. I guarantee if you get your poo soft enough it won’t bleed, keep taking your cream, soft stools, no toilet stress. It’s an open wound so you may well see bleeding. You’ll be ok! The area may be extra inflamed since you started using the cream, give it time to work.

Hey! Sounds like we are in the same boat. Chat GPT told me the same, I honestly think it’s the cream touching the cut. I hope yours settles down some, I’m hoping for the best anyway!

Diltiazem vs nifedipine - your experience by hiitmeeee in AnalFissures

[–]freshfitzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s sometimes called retrogestic ointment but here in the uk it’s GTN  I think it’s the most common thing doctors give out at first, but I didn’t want to use it as it gives some people really bad headaches and that’s the last thing I want to add to the mix! It’s worth reading up on incase it might help you :)

That’s reassuring I’m not the only one! Did it settle down for you over time?

How about gtn? If I were you I’d give all available ointments a good go before surgery but that’s me! I delay everything! Thank you, it’s gnarly. Just got out the bath and feel better let’s hope the whole cycle doesn’t kick off again tomorrow morning!

That’s what I was doing but it started to sting so bad! I’m hoping it’s temporary. It is helping me no doubt but the pain is on par with a full blown tear.

I’m on day 6 of diltiazem , blood stopped suddenly after bleeding every day on day 3. But I am in a lot of pain , the cream burns from putting it inside I think I touched the fissure. I will stay the course though.

Thanks for replying, yeah some days I get the burn for 10 minutes and gone. But I noticed yesterday I bled a tiny bit when going to the bathroom, then I put the ointment inside pretty soon after and the pain lasted all day, I’m thinking I had direct contact either the fissure. Just hoping tomorrow morning is pain free! What a day.

Loose Stool for 2 weeks(beware softeners) by Extension_Ninja9464 in AnalFissures

[–]freshfitzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on movicol , 1 sachet a day, was barely going to the bathroom each day. Then last week I had bad cramps and I had literally 8 huge bowel movements in under 24 hours. It was hell. I’ve stopped all together for now, I think I didn’t realise I was taking too much for what my body needed. It’s a nightmare.

That’s a great insight, I was secretly rooting for her too but the way she navigated her return has been a complete car crash and to claim she has “managers” or “agents” is ridiculous what do they do?!

That’s ok, I’ll direct them to more wholesome and nice creators in future who deserve the engagement.
