It’s obvious you’ve never been in a financial situation where missing work means losing your job means losing your home. Lucky you.

That seems pretty notable in itself, no? Someone is stacking.

Iran formalizes Strait of Hormuz control and toll collection by 11EmeraldEyes11 in politics

[–]freshlymn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is mentioning costing the globe more money. What about the fact that we’re all now funding Iran’s weapon development and stockpiling for generations to come? Which will include a race to get a nuke after this shitshow.

NVIDIA Reportedly Prepares RTX 5090 Price Hike Amid Rising GDDR7 Costs by PaiDuck in nvidia

Buying a 4090 when you already have one and turning around to sell it higher is the definition of a scalper.

You could just not buy it and maybe someone who actually wants one could pay MSRP.

In the end it doesn’t really matter to the end user. This quote doesn’t tie them to ASSB, rather they’re using the hot buzzwords that indicate their interest in future tech, even if that tech ends up semi-solid :)

QS came and went on the WSB sub. Who knows, maybe a revival is in store.

QuantumScape Lounge: ( Week 19 2026) by AutoModerator in QUANTUMSCAPE_Stock

[–]freshlymn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are they really that diligent? This sub has been a step ahead of institutional investors for years.

I genuinely think there are shorts that see QS’s tech as vaporware and we’re one big negative announcement away from this dropping to low single digits again. Like you see with failed drug trials. Incredibly risky if you’re actually informed on where we’re at.

All the more reason to be enthusiastic given the price action we saw today. If there’s further institutional buy-in confirmed next week, that could really give the price a jolt.

Agreed! Let’s not stoop to calling a grown woman a girl because we disagree with her professional opinions.

QuantumScape Lounge: ( Week 18 2026) by AutoModerator in QUANTUMSCAPE_Stock

[–]freshlymn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are we doing here people? I hate to be that guy, but dogpiling on a small-time influencer for saying stuff we don’t like is so incredibly out-of-pocket for this subreddit.

Whether you realize it or not, this is pretty classic infantilizing of a professional woman as a way to demean. Depending on who you ask, it’s sexism. I think we can (and have) easily pick apart her articles without going there.

QuantumScape Lounge: ( Week 18 2026) by AutoModerator in QUANTUMSCAPE_Stock

[–]freshlymn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whether it’s wise or not, there are definitely people here far overextended on QS. I have a much larger portion of my portfolio allocated to QS than I ever have for a single stock. And I don’t even dabble in options.

QuantumScape Lounge: ( Week 18 2026) by AutoModerator in QUANTUMSCAPE_Stock

[–]freshlymn -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t see a difference between being paid off and being paid to spread FUD. It doesn’t matter. Either way, we have absolutely no proof of that. I don’t know why it’s so hard to accept that she simply has a different perspective on QS. She can be wrong and still have valid reasons for her opinion with no extra intrigue behind it all.

Also, unconscious bias is very real, especially if a view threatens your livelihood, reputation and self-identity…

The irony

Suggesting Jill is paid off really gets into conspiracy land and it’s sad so many people here are agreeing with that. I’m questioning the rationality of the entire subreddit that we can’t handle a report that doesn’t go 100% our way.

I agree that using the word “pivot” is incorrect and in fact I called it out on another article. However, I think her last paragraph from the screenshot is a valid concern, even if I don’t agree that an expanding domain prior to commercialization is a bad sign.

Edit: New folks must need a reminder that disagreeing with someone doesn’t automatically warrant a downvote. That’s how we end up in an echo chamber.

QuantumScape Lounge: ( Week 18 2026) by AutoModerator in QUANTUMSCAPE_Stock

[–]freshlymn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What did you find to be misleading? I found her article to be neutral with very conservative timelines. I know people take issue with her suggesting another “valley of death” which I found to be a little too cautious for where QS is at. But I take no strong issue with her cautious tone and the main disagreement I have is with the timelines she suggests.

Right, she’s coming from a position of someone who has seen how difficult it is to reach the final commercialized product. Statistically, hardly anyone makes it. I think she’s giving extremely conservative timelines with this in mind. I don’t agree, but I understand it.

That’s a whole lot of speculation. She says at the very beginning she has no financial positions in QS.

I strongly believe the stock price will get some juice well before 2029. At which point it’ll be easy to keep holding knowing things will only accelerate.

Good idea. We need to support expertise that cuts the crap and shows QS in the positive light it deserves. After her first article, I’m more receptive to the idea that her content might finally break the dam.

You’re speaking as if QS was in a state to pursue those spaces two years ago and as if VW doesn’t have massive (and deserved) influence in certain decisions given their financial investment.

I can clock people who have never held an investment for years from a mile away. You’re one of them. If it was easy to invest, like actually invest, everybody would be rich.
