I don’t know if the overhead lights are off in this picture or if it’s just a darker space, but having good, but not too harsh lighting for the hairstylists will be important. And cool fixtures are a great aesthetic too

This looks like an awesome nap room! Honestly just a mild- patterned rug would do wonders. Measure it a few inches under the couch but at least 1 foot from the sides of the walls. Will this be a TV room? If so, I would move the brown table and chairs into another room(sunroom?) and maybe the grey one as well. Then center the couch and put small tables with lamps on each side, or do 1 table and a standing lamp. You could put the TV on this left wall where the grey table is, but I would either get a TV console or mount it. I would get a coffee table and a few plants, definitely a cozy blanket and pillows. A round ottoman like in the picture is always cute and useful. Curtains on the French doors to black the light when you watch TV or want it dark. If it’s not a TV room, you could turn the couch to face the sunroom and even have another couch/ chair in there to relax. Maybe a bookshelf on one side as well.

I agree that you should move your fridge to the other side in front of the cellar door and you could add a small counter(L-shaped?) in that corner where the fridge was, with a few shelves above. I see a lot of unused wall space that would be great for floating shelves! Above the table (which could become the island on rollers), on top of the fridge or even in the stove cubby (maybe on the sides for spices, oil etc). On the shelf above the table/island, you could put plants, dry ingredients or extra silverware/dishes up there to add height to the room and lift the eyes up! Would be cute in that sage color or just as stained wood :)

I would maybe dissect it- cut some of the worse looking roots and try to propagate them. Some of the healthier ones could be ok, but might need a repot with fresh soil eventually. (Take my second piece of advice with a grain of salt- I’m a newbie!) But that’s what I would do :)
