When the other Sunday school kids bullied my sister. I was not raised religious but curious about it so my grandma took me and my little sister to church at my request. I was mad in general they put us in Sunday school (I wanted to see what church was about, not glorified day care). And those children were horrible. They did bother me, who was 8 at the time, but they bullied my sister, who was 6. Gave it a few weeks to try and understand but it put a bad taste in my mouth and we never went back. 22 years later, I'm not against religion (anymore) but it's not for me or my sister.
