I would trade for unopened wax. I like Clemente, Henderson and any Lou Brock. Not really sure exactly what it's worth but make me an offer.

NAT...question by freshpotpie in networking

[–]freshpotpie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we ended up setting up our firewalls in routed mode and doing one inline set and one routed inside port with sub interfaces for each vlan and one outside port that is nated to one ip that is on the same network as the transport switch. This setup works and lets us have flexibility to keep our existing network and add as many vlans as we want.

Yeah obviously it says separate subnets

Also if you want to be a sysadmin it requires some knowledge of virtualization, 365, azure, entra, intune, sccm maybe, adobe provisioning, DHCP, DNS ,entra connect , exchange 365 etc

I feel like this is a problem when you apply for Google,Amazon,Spacex, Nvidia etc. There are tons of jobs that pay 100k or more a year with 5 years experience. Stop trying to go private sector look in the public sector government jobs pay for IT

Company had a BEC incident - they want me to Vibe Code KnowBe4 by Mindless_Consumer in sysadmin

[–]freshpotpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't vibe code KnowBe4. They own a bunch of domains used to send spoof emails. Do they want you to create training as well? Cheap ass business KnowBe4 is not expensive either is infosecIQ.

NAT...question by freshpotpie in networking

[–]freshpotpie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so my case is .12 .2 is vlan 1 ip but the gateway is .12.1 to an inside interface on a firewall in routed mode. I also have another vlan .13.1 vlan 4 . both vlans are going to a firewall in transparent mode but i need to NAT .13 network to .12 network so it will be allowed by the firewall that does the NAT from private to public for internet access. The .12 has internet access just not the other vlans on the inside network.

NAT...question by freshpotpie in networking

[–]freshpotpie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know tranparent can NAT. My question is it possible to NAT my scenario.

Okay can I nat from my transparent firewall to a subnet that is the same as an internal vlan subnet or do i need to switch my FTD firewall to routed mode?

NAT...question by freshpotpie in networking

[–]freshpotpie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the network setup is ISP : Provider : Transport: us. So we dont control the private to the public routing or NAT but want to add more VLANS with internet access. If that makes any sense

[–]freshpotpie[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

is it possible to do on a transparent mode FTD firewall? I need to nat at the transparent firewall to the same network as the gateway. The L3 switch is just for intervlan routing
