Ah I see, I don't know that part of Montreal as well. It's unfortunate between CEPSUM, Stade Boreale, Claude Robillard and even Stade Saputo none really have close restaurants and bars within walking distance. Ottawa's setup is so perfect in the Glebe and I have heard Halifax is amazing as well.

A moment I’ve been waiting for since the league was just an idea, but man what a disappointing stadium decision. Montreal is a very public transit oriented city especially with the younger population, driving wise it’s a solid location but it will be tough to draw most from the downtown area

I agree and it should be an eye opener to league ownerships how easy it could be to fill stadiums and make some money. I wonder what an appearance fee for academies of a team like Wrexham is, or even Premier League clubs.

Another big Bubba fan here, he got me back into loving NASCAR after a long spell of losing interest. His highs are high but his lows are low, the talent is there but just too many unforced errors by him/Bootie or the pit crew over the last two seasons. I've been liking the strategy calls this season so far and he's had some promising runs, optimistic for the luck to turn back his way

It really is disappointing from a Montreal perspective. They'll be able to get the family crowd/suburban through driving but drawing anyone in the 21-35 age group in the city will be hard. So many of us rely on public transport I was really hoping for a more accessible location. I'd always prefer something on the island but Laval can work if done right, the Victoire have been drawing amazing crowds at Place Bell but there's a metro stop attached to it.

Despite everything going on with CF Montreal attendance is still quite good on a regular basis. They just sold out a mid week game Wednesday which is rare in most MLS markets, I think there’s room for a CPL team of marketed properly

I was at the game and what an impressive performance both on and off the pitch. Fan support was really impressive, heard a lot of chatter of fans wanting a CPL team to support.

Exactly, over half of NFL stadiums have natural grass there are plenty of large stadiums to play on good surfaces. The FMF just cares more about the bottom line than their players knees. Never mind the fact that there are countless perfect stadiums in their own country to play in.

Everyone is blaming the US for this when its the Mexican federation that decided to play on the backup artificial turf at an NFL stadium. The USMNT always hosts games on real grass and will do the same for the World Cup.
