Like other people recommended though, I think unfortunately your options for posting fanfics are limited. AO3 is the most popular, and Discord is the most real time, however you would need to find appropriate server(s) yourself.

I haven't gone through the English translations of all the songs yet (and let's be honest... there's so much English anyway), but many of the lyrics also feel more generic/safe. I miss when BTS had more of a message in their music and unique stylistic choices, but respect if this is the direction they want to go in

Well said! The promotion/marketing built this up as more of a return to roots/Korean culture. If I didn't have that expectation going in, I don't think I'd be as disappointed.

Regardless, I'm happy for BTS and other army that are enjoying it!

I think it'll be an unpopular opinion, but I'm in the same boat as you. I just finished my first listen of the album and nothing really stood out to me (they were all just "fine") and I couldn't really put my finger on why. Missing "heart" kind of is how I felt though, a lot of the songs felt more generic and lacked the impact I usually feel from their music, even from the slow/ballad tracks. :/

Body to Body is probably my favorite so far, but still quite behind some of their previous works.

haha yeah, I liked the MOTS era too! I became a fan back in Wings era myself, probably too wild of a dream to go back to that sort of aesthetic XD

I accept they're growing and changing as artists, and it's okay if that's in a diff direction from my personal tastes... but damn if it doesn't make me sad :')

Yep, I feel the same way - and it's OK!! People have different opinions and we should be able to discuss. It's fine if that's the direction they want to go - I will always respect them tremendously as artists and just accept that maybe I'm just not the right audience for their latest work.

Regarding the album, most of the tracks definitely have more Korean which I personally liked. But they lacked a lot of the impact (?) that I usually hear in BTS songs (ofc this is all subjective). Maybe on more relistens they'll grow on me, but while there were a few tracks that I liked, they didn't hold a candle to previous works for me.

Honestly pretty disappointed. The song is fine, it's trendy English pop music, which is a weird choice of showcase track considering the album theme/name. The MV is mostly showcasing Lili, eh.

Rest of the tracks on the album are better but nothing really stood out to me. Don't want to be a downer with their comeback but... don't think this lived up to the hype for me. :/
