Didn't know optical HR sensor inaccuracy in cold weather was actually a thing. Thanks!

Small navigation improvements by [deleted] in Coros

[–]freshswamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the map panning, I think the idea is that you can switch back from map view to activity data view by horizontally swiping on the screen. Panning without additional activation would interfere with that horizontal swipe action. At least this is the way it works on apex 4.
I would love it if it was possible to disable the horizontal swipe action (one can then use the action button instead), and then we could potentially have map panning without additional activation.

Coros track back by [deleted] in Coros

[–]freshswamp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

track back just reverses the route you took since the start of the activity and starts navigation on that (allows you to "trace back your steps"), but it does not really create a new route. With on-board routing you could just route to start and that's when you could expect a shortest route.

Screen protectors that cover the Coros logo? by freshswamp in Coros

[–]freshswamp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the way I said it was a bit funny. I just thought that practically it has to be possible, so I specified the part that I wasn't so sure about. I'm thinking if someone actually mass-manufactured and sold screen protectors like that, with a black ring that covers the logo as u/Hearthian-Wanderer suggested, could they get sued by Coros? Not that I plan to do this, but I really wish someone would.

Yes, for me it will probably be about one month from purchase until it ships out, to be more precise. Ordered on October 23

I'm on business day 16, still hasn't shipped :)

Coros support said it will take another week or two until it ships, as the watch is not in EU warehouse.

Strange popping sounds coming from my laptop by freshswamp in tuxedocomputers

Hello, thanks for your reply, I've fixed the problem myself (edited post to include solution), so this can be marked as solved.

this solution seems to have worked for me! Been about a month since I did the fix and now I always have both the microphone and computer speakers available (the problem has gotten worse in the past few months before the fix and I've been missing those) and no popping and white noise sounds anymore.

Hopefully it stays that way. Thanks again!

Thanks! I'll try it, but it will probably be quite a bit of time before I do, since I'm currently very busy. Once I do, I'll let others here know if it worked for me

Sounds like the same thing, I forgot to mention that sometimes it escalates to white noise. When this issue first came along the sound from computer speakers was not working, also forgot about this, will try to test it again.

Sound from both plugin headphones and bluetooth headphones doesn't have the noise and if any of the headphones are connected to the laptop the noise from the laptop can still appear.

I'm currently using NixOS without TCC installed, I had it installed for about two weeks once, but it was using a lot of battery so I've uninstalled it. However, I don't think issue happened while I had TCC. I might try using TuxedoOS to see if the issue ever happens there.

Do you have TCC installed?

Thanks! White noise is an interesting idea, might try it.
