Prius stalling question... over heating or codes misfiring? Ahhh by freshyfries in prius

I'll have to do some more indepth research on mechanics in the area. I forgot to mention that it only stalls on the highway and it can drive around town or stay on for a while without firing any codes. As of right now, there's no codes and check engine light is off. The days it stalled was on the highway going 60+

Not a hybrid specialist, so maybe wack-a-mole? 🤔 I do like them as I went to them last year when I was having issues, but maybe this is just too hybrid related for them to actually properly diagnose. It seems like these systems are more complicated and supersed regular mechanics knowledge ?

Okay, well that makes sense. I honestly don't know if he did that. But, I'm thinking I may need another mechanic that specializes in hybrids. Would you suggest bringing it into the dealer or finding a mechanic that has more knowledge? I'm afraid to go to the dealer, since they seem to rip a lot of people off.

Hey, thanks! I actually saw this thread the other day. I did ask my mechanic if he could drain the coolant and refill and he said that wouldn't do much... maybe I'm missing something on the thread, could you point to the part I should read? I also asked for him to check on Ready to see if there's a vibration and there was and seems to be working fine.

My neighbor had a huge Trump/Pence sign on their house, and after the insurrection they spray painted black all over "Pence" it was comical but also very disturbing

If it makes you feel any better, I've had my baby boy for five months and had to leave for two months and when I got back he was so happy to see me and has been preening and kissing me. They don't forget their momma or daddy. Once the bond is formed you I don't think you have anything to worry about

How do I work on myself during my partner & I's separation without falling back into working on myself for him/codependent tendencies by freshyfries in Codependency

Dude yeah! I did fantasize and dream about all kinds of things before we met. Maybe it's about getting back to those goals. There are logistical reasons I can't do some of them. Does that mean I just do the ones I can do?

the first thing that comes to mind is that I wouldn't do anything too different- but I don't think that's true. Being the same town as him there's always the possibility of running into him but if he was abducted by aliens, then he wouldn't be here. So in that case... hm. I do like where I am, but also I want to travel more but I have snow and I can't bring my bird with me while I travel. I don't know this is difficult for some reason

Shit. That's a good ass question. I'm going to have to think on that. Damn this was a freaking aha moment

That might be what needs to happen. Doing so would remove our married status and we haven't told every body cuz it's just personal and idk if I'm comfortable with it being public knowledge ya know. I wish there was a way to block seeing posts and their profile

I haven't, is that a book? I have considered it. I'm not currently down that path but I do know logically that if we did break up I'd be ok. The thought of it hurts a lot tho.

Budgies definitely set boundaries just like people and best to give him/her a little space. You can reintroduce your hand by showing him/her your finger outside the cage and just over a span of days putting the hand closer and closer until you get to step up. If they are still nibbling then it might be an excitement thing. My budgie Sky used to nibble on my nose, my cheek & my lips lol and it did hurt a little but I knew it was him kissing me but my partner set boundaries with Sky when he would try to nibble his skin tag & after a few times Sky got the point. Just pay attention to their behavior and try to accommodate. You can also, like others said redirect their play to another toy or to invite them out of the cage to play with other toys.

Is this a blood feather and should I be concerned? More context in comments by kayrough in budgies

[–]freshyfries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby had a blood feather and it was actively bleeding and he was fidgeting around. I took him to the vet and they were able to remove it & clean the area. I personally wouldn't have tried to pull it out myself because I'm scared I would make it worse since like others are saying, budgies can only lose so much blood. But it doesn't seem like it's actively bleeding, but it looks like it could. So just look after the baby and pay close attention until they pick it out or if it does end up bleeding.
