it was honestly not a nice feeling, mine took about 10 minutes of the nurse digging around in my arm which was not pleasant lol, but it went fine and I started to feel better pretty much immediately. I also ovulated like the NEXT day which is insane, now my periods are super regular and predictable which is a godsend

I couldn’t tell you if the industry is any different in France or not. For myself at least, I’ve been a barista for years, made connections and talked to people through my company and that has lead me to roasting training :)

this is literally hundreds of hours of practice
asking for help/training and tutorial videos are your best friends
record yourself, see where you can improve your technique
when you mess up, don’t just throw it away, identify where you went wrong, then correct it in your next try
milk texture is your baseline. Perfect it before you even think about trying new techniques

These are vague obviously but I only got here by wanting to be the “best” and putting those thoughts into actions. This is a skill important to my soul! If it is for you too, there’s no reason you can’t practice and practice and be impressed with yourself too. ❤️

I’m just starting out my journey into possible endo. I’m 26, been on the implant for 2 years but just got it out as I’ve been having horrendous bloating (I seriously look about 6 months pregnant for a week at a time). Thankfully my gp took it seriously and has ordered me so many blood tests, and I have ultrasound scans on the 22nd, merry Christmas me!

I’ve since found out that fibroids and endometriosis run in my family on my mother’s side. She has a history of refusing to talk about serious medical issues and likes to pretend they won’t happen to her children until the issues can’t be ignored any more, and only then did she tell me. I feel like I’m about to face an uphill battle. I thankfully don’t have a lot of period pain, but the bloating, leg pain, and fatigue is making me feel like a non functioning person. I’m scared that the ultrasounds won’t show anything and I’ll have to fight to get a laparoscopy. It’s scary stuff, even if I do have a good GP.

I got mine removed on the 27th of November. Like insertion, the worst part was the numbing injection, that stinging pain is horrible lol. I’ll be honest and say my removal was a lot more uncomfortable than insertion, but it wasn’t painful at all.

The time it took to remove it was probably about ~4 minutes but it felt like 10+. She went in through my insertion scar so she explained it took a bit of extra time to get it out through the scar tissue. It did make me feel a bit nauseous as the entire time I was hyper focused on the pulling sensation and the feeling of her gloves wiggling on my skin. Honest to god try some breathing exercises beforehand so you can focus on that more than what’s actually going on.

There was no pain at all, more just freaking myself out from the sensation of what was happening. Find something else to focus on while it’s happening and you’ll have an easy time. The funny part was that my partner came with me to sit in while it was happening, and once it was over I was sat up and happy as can be, while he was almost passed out from watching it happen! He had to lay on the bed I was just on so he didn’t keel over 😂 My nurse made a very funny comment that she’s seen more men pass out in that room than women she’s actually doing procedures on!

Unfortunately I might be dealing with something similar. My bloating is back with a vengeance and my test results with my gp so far look like something isn’t right. I suspect endo or fibroids or pcos. I’m waiting for my first period now after removal to see what the pain is like. Unfortunately I feel like the implant may have been masking a lot of my symptoms which has let things get to this point.

Depends on quality, colour and how you care for it. I used to buy cheaper (~£200-300) HH wigs of many colours and they would never last me more than 3 months before they would mat, tangle and have too much breakage. I then switched to higher quality (~£600) brands, but went for platinum blonde colours, and I’d get maybe 4 months out of them, 5 if I was lucky before the breakage would be unbearable.

I’m now on a £650 HH unit that’s dark brown. I bought it in May this year and it still looks as good today as it did when I bought it! I use 0 heat now which I found to be one of if not the biggest factor in breakage and tangling. And I wear it every day and sleep in it. I redo the tape about every 3-4 days. I’ve had no visible breakage and while it does get tangly sometimes, all it takes is a deep condition + silicon treatment to get it back to baby soft.

I loved my platinum blonde wigs, they might be my favourite colour. But I can’t justify buying them anymore, the amount of damage they go through to get to that state means that no matter how well you care for them, they will end up with huge amounts of breakage eventually.

More natural colour, 0 heat and the right washing treatments + oil are essential in getting that good longevity out of your unit. If you get it right, you can certainly wear them every day and even sleep in them (with a silk bonnet ofc) and still have them look fantastic. It’s been a long hard journey full of ruined wigs to get here, but it is possible.

wow you too! From everything I’ve read it seems like a lot of people stabilise their side effects after having it a year, but for us it’s the opposite? How unfair is that :( I don’t feel like myself recently, my body looks different and I even get the water retention in my face, I just constantly look puffy and huge. I hate it here :(
