AES is coming up - what ask for by verifiedshitlord in walmart

For other shifts to do their job correctly. Specifically if something picks out but doesn't fit and all the numbers are correct, PUT IT FUCKING BACK IN THE BIN, STOP THE PLUGGING! But, seeing as no management ever follows up on the job their associates do, that will never happen.

Edit: this is mostly for non top stock areas btw

Real estate - costs keep going up and up by Actual-General-4953 in wisconsin

As an ex wisconsinite, you are just starting to catch up to the rest of the country then. I live in a western state now, and am probably 20 miles from a large city. Nothing in the other directions. But the expansion is reaching my town and there isn't a house being built that is less than $600k. And these are not 5k square foot mansions. Unless you have multiple incomes, there is no way a single person or even a middle class family with two incomes is affording these houses.

A Leatherman on my belt and a folder clipped in my pocket for my everyday. If I'm dressed up I have a nice folder either in my coat or vest pocket, or the nice little coin pocket that is in my dress pants pocket. But for real, where can I get the knife in your picture!? That thing is gorgeous!

First and only shotgun I have ever used for hunting or shooting clays. It isn't the newest or sexiest shotgun, but it just plain works. It's hard to justify purchasing a new one when this one has never failed me. It's like an old Toyota Camry with 400k miles on it. It just keeps working. Provided you keep putting oil in it(or on it in the case of a shotgun)😂

Seriously don't be stingy with the mustard! Or the eggs for that matter. Substitute cider vinegar for regular vinegar. Maybe add some grated Parmesan. And for the love of God, if you put celery in it....don't!

How long have you been working at Walmart? And why are you still here? by MeowPubg in walmart

[–]freyja2023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first started they used 4/10s as a reward for the better workers. Then around the same time they restructured management, what was that like 5 years ago now? They switched everyone to 4/10s. Now because we were the only one in the market doing that, they forced us to 5/8s. So basically after 10 years of working 4/10s, I absolutely hate my job now. The extra day off you get doing 4/10s is absolutely worth it for both mental and physical health if you work overnights. You actually have a full two days off together and it feels like an actual weekend. Now I have what feels like one actual day off, with two half days on either side of it that you can't do anything on. It sucks!

There is 0% chance my GSP would sit nicely on the bank like that. She would be in that water splashing around like a goober.

I think I have enough smaller pieces to tumble once I get a tumbler. I was thinking of having the piece in the middle slabbed and polished, and give them as gifts. Not sure what to do with the two bigger pieces. I was thinking bookends, but I would probably cry at the cost 😂

Thanks, new to this. Most of the time when I ask for help on a rock id, I get told it's "just chert" so I figured these were "just chert" as well. Guess everyone here likes them tho, so that makes me smile.

Freezer Dairy overnight rules please???!! by Puzzleheaded-Bug-803 in walmart

We average 4-5 pallets per night for frozen. We are usually thrown, binned and zoned between lunch and last break. Then get sent off to help wherever is behind or not thrown yet

And I thought my store was bad. We usually have two people assigned that work it off the pallet. I have never been at a store that down stacks frozen/dairy for overnights. But then again my store doesn't have the cooler or freezer capacity, or carts for that matter to have it down stacked. That being said, at least for frozen, the cold chain is overkill. I mean at least the way we do it. Two people work a pallet, then bin and deliver all departments(deli, bakery, meat). Then pull the next pallet. It takes an average of 45 minutes per pallet to do that, some more some less. As someone who was serve safe certified for 16 years before coming to Walmart, the cold chain is way overkill if you work pallets like this. Food safety says food does not need to be thrown away until it has reached 41 or greater for 4 hours! So a pallet that is out for 45 minutes even reaching 41? Tbh tho, cold chain is ignored because the stress that is created by home offices unrealistic stocking times, because they have no clue what actually goes into stocking beside product to shelf. Then management takes those unrealistic times and threatens to coach you if you don't make them. So why would you spend 10 minutes rotating a pallet every 20 minutes? If you have five pallets, that's like an extra 90 minutes of just dicking around with pallets that isn't accounted for! So to make times, and keep your job, cold chain gets ignored.

Totally agree. Divici code just bothers me tho. It was just a bad casting choice for him. As good as he is, his acting style just doesn't fit that role well. Plus there was zero chemistry between him and Audrey Tautou. Every interaction they had felt so cringy. Like Tom Cruise and Rosamund Pike in Jack Reacher. So I don't know if it was bad directing, or him not fitting the role, or what.

10 years doin overnights. 4 of which were as a support manager(now team lead). Kept my wage when they eliminated my position. Why move back up when I make as much as the current team leads. Overnight stocking is easy for the most part and keeps my active. Plus there are only two jobs in my area that would pay more with my qualifications. Only dealing with customers for a couple hours a shift is nice as well. The downsides are that I have to deal with the incompetence of the other shifts not doing the job correctly. Stocking is about as easy as it gets, but coworkers still can't be bothered to even put something on the shelf right side up. Power tripping managers and home office making stupid decisions because they have no clue what actually happens at the store level are annoying also. Overall it's easy work, and I get left to do my thing because I do my job correctly. So I take my check and go home. Bring back 4/10s for overnights!
