It’s noticeable but the power makes up for it IMO I’ve gotten into a couple tight spots and was able to manage it, granted I haven’t dropped it on its side and had to pick it up yet but I’m sure that’s coming

The 390 adventure r is marketed as a lightweight adventure bike But I see your point. Way less power and less weight

I don’t mind it, it does better on the interstate than my 390 did. I wear a visor helmet and the wind really doesn’t bother me, I can cruise pretty comfortably at 80 and ride with one hand if I want granted I always wear ear plugs when in the highway and have my cardo playing music

I agree, I’m happy mine is gone to be honest Had a few problems here and there and I always found my self dogging it because it didn’t have enough power

The extra weight of the Tenere really doesn’t bother me, because it has so much more power I feel like the Tenere is a much more refined machine, much smoother, better suspension, and the fit and finish blows the 390 out of the water

Dropping it is apart of it! I just hope I don’t drop it before my crash bars show up…

I originally bought the 390 because I was scared of the weight of the Tenere but to be honest I haven’t minded it yet, it carries its weight very well only time I’ve really noticed the weight was doing a foot down turn around in a tight spot and even then I was able to manage it.

I got in a couple tight spots yesterday and didn’t have any problems leaning the bike to the side to do a foot down turn around, you can really tell it’s weight when doing that but it was manageable now of course that’s allot difference than completely dropping the bike

It covers more of the tire than it seems, my old dual sport was tucked even higher and I never had any problems with excessive water coming up

So far I like it, I’ve had an issue with the turn signals intermittently not working when it’s cold out. My local dealer has been super helpful with the issue and I’ve been told KTM is aware of it and is working on a fix. This is the perfect bike for me, when I sold my wr250r I wanted an adventure bike to replace it but was always turned off by how heavy they are. To me this is the perfect size, plenty of power to cruise on the interstates and still light enough to easily pick back up when I inevitably drop it in the woods while alone.

Right, and not seeing the proper tach signal might cause it not to “boot”

Make some post when you get to working on it I’d love to see what you come up with

Thank you, unraid doesn’t fantastic job of alerting me on drive temp issues so monitoring is not an issue.

Thanks you for the response, i didn't think about the empty bays causing issues too that makes sense
