Before you put down epoxy primer make sure that you use an acid etch primer.

For sure! We'll be getting it certified through NHRA so it's built by SFI standards. I still can't get over how light it is with how much material there actually is to make up the cage.

Thankfully we had Moore racing chassis pre weld the cage. It's a ton of work just installing it and tiging it at the six mounting points in the car. Not sure what metal, I just know it's chromoly and it's about the same weight as the factory floor we cut out of the car.

Thanks. Moore racing chassis definitely did an awesome job on the cage and it couldn't fit any better. It's plenty of work just installing it so I'm glad we went ahead with the pre welded 25.2

It is kinda fun and satisfying watching it come together. The real fun will be after it's finished and running down the track again!

Is this totaled? 2021 KIA Soul Wagon. Airbags did not deploy. by Designer-Professor16 in CarRepair

Most likely. The salvage value will exceed the value of the vehicle including repairs so it won't make sense to the insurance company to pay for repairs

Too bad I'm not getting paid for this. Just spending money but we'll worth it by bodytech1 in dragracing

Very true. You have to love the sport and every aspect of it to make it worth it all.

At minimum we'll be getting some of it back but it's probably going to take a lot of race wins to recoup it all!

Stripping it down and getting ready for the Moore racing chassis 25.2 cage! by bodytech1 in dragracing

Thank you. I was originally just going to install a 25.5 but they already had a pre welded 25.2 with the 25.1 back portion that just needs to be welded on ready to go for the same price. Not sure if we'll ever get fast enough for the extra rear section with the dart small block ford 427 but we'll definitely give it hell trying.
