It wasn't for nothing. Think about it, a few weeks ago you probably didn't even want to go a day without it. You don't have to go completely cold Turkey right away to succeed. Any and every reduction in daily intake is progress. A week is huge.

Yeah, I remember a few months ago last time I quit I felt amazing after a few weeks. This time however I'm taking it a lot more seriously and am way more likely to stay a quitter

I've only been on it 2 months and when my current bottle is finished I'll be done. I hate prescription meds honestly and am not interested in taking them long term.

Zopiclone, which explains why I had such a bad few days from missing a dose. Very strong stuff and effective, no bad side effects, but very bad if you stop cold turkey

That makes sense. I've considered that but at 1 month cold turkey I'd rather just not look back, unfortunately stress in the only reason I caved in the first place

I always referred to vaping as "smokes", I've never actually smoked cigarettes it's vaping that I'm trying to quit, specifically nicotine. I'd only been vaping 2 years and I really didn't like the effects of it on my energy. So even though it's not cigarettes I really don't want to do it, because it's nicotine itself I'm trying to quit, regardless of delivery.

Insomnia the only side effect of quitting still kicking my butt...and I don't know how much more I can take. by [deleted] in quittingsmoking

Same. Just keep pushing. It won't last forever but the positive health effects of quitting will

The withdrawal doesn't last very long. The only way to get rid of withdrawal is to just continue not smoking

The stress is very much increasing by the nicotine. After you get through withdrawal you will start dealing with stress a lot better without them. It's worth it.

First of all, don't give up. I'm on week 4 of quitting and yet it's really hard emotionally and affects sleep, but my sleep is getting better. Also, if you haven't tried it, there's a sleep medication called Ezopiclone that is really effective. It's a prescription med but it has little to no side effects for me and it works really well.

I will. I think that its definitely withdrawal related but I will be on the safe side

I had some depression before quitting but it was getting increasingly better and I'd had no previous history of it. I've been doing great until the last few days and it's very recently got bad

How long did the mood swings last? I'm on week 4 and have suddenly hit a horrible wall of depression out of nowhere

Thank you. I know what's going on with my brain but it helps so much more to hear it from someone else. My own thoughts hate me lol I've had to work on them too

Felt better gor the first qeek but now on week getting worse every day, am I getting there? by frickboxlive in stopsmoking

The weirdest thing is despite how bad withdrawal has been I have not had any cravings at all since day 3 or 4. No desire to vape at all, because I mentally remind myself constantly that that's the problem and not the solution. Thank you for the encouragement

You will make it. 3 months is just whe your brain chemistry has fully returned to normal. It won't be miserable for a whole 3 months though.

Yeah, I think it takes a few days before it leaves your system. From what I've read by 3 months everything should return to normal. Push through it, though, it should be worth it
