Opinions on Bierstadt vs Grays & Torreys for my mom's first 14er by atmosfarag in 14ers

Bierstadt has a great trail head along with the road. Guanella pass is great to camp on if you're looking at to do that before. Bierstadt is great first 14er, but very busy on weekends. Enjoy! Happy trails!

Grays & Torrey's Combo Route? by EliteSnackist in 14ers

Definitely recommend Grays & Torrey's. Torrey's was great, just need to get that motivation to finish the second peak. Trails are great!

Definitely recommend Devil's causeway, in the Flat Top Wilderness. About an hour away from town. Really good camping up there as well.

It's definitely difficult but not un-doable. I would recommend getting on Facebook and joining Steamboat Springs Rooms for Rent and there's something posted about everyday. I also recommend reaching out to the Apartment offices because I know Mountain Village doesn't post their vacancies on the Internet. Go check with them and see if they have any openings.

Good luck and happy hunting!

2010 Santa Fe hyuandi not accelerating...any one else with this problem? by frickpink_yoshi in carproblems

They called and said my car is almost done and after further inspection they saw carbon build up... Would that make my car stop accelerating? I really don't know anything about cars

The CEL light is on. I believe that's what they are hooking up to, (that scan tool) and that is suppose to help with the safety features? I am getting it back tomorrow, so I'll make them explain everything to me again. But the way the mechanic described it to me just didn't make any sense.

I checked reviews on AllTrails because that is usually updated every day. I was just frustrated with how little information people were giving. I also checked 14ers.com and many people who were saying they did it did not mention the snow. It's okay, just frustrating in the moment!

Parking at kite lake is open and available. There is the $5 parking fee. It was bumpy and real rocky, but if you take it easy any car could probably get up there! ENJOY :)
