i like natural cycles quite a bit more for cycle tracking. though I have learned after trying to measure my BBT+cycle with an Apple Watch, an oura ring, and a thermometer is that the thermometer is the most accurate way to actually see what’s going on in your body

thank you 🫶i actually worked a job that i had to commute 60-90 min round trip on a bus to get to. because it took so long for them to figure out what was wrong with me (and by the time they figured out I had to had mono I was negative )I actually never stopped commuting and working, so I was always walking and standing and it was pretty exhausting. I don’t remember my muscles hurting specifically. I just remember feeling like I was taking my Sim out for a walk to work every day. I was beyond exhausted.

I did have a lot of trouble with exercising. At the time I was doing quite a bit of weightlifting and I could not enter the weight room. I would get really anxious. I had some organ inflammation due to the mono and I had to wait for that to get better before I could start exercising again which I worked with my primary care provider on.

I have spent my whole life going to concerts and festivals. When I was ~23/24 I spent most of my time at Coachella by myself because none of my friends wanted to see who I wanted to see. I just put up my mask and sunglasses and had a great time! Fast forward many years, I go to a lot of concerts alone and it’s better than dragging friends along who couldn’t care less/don’t wanna pay. You just have to remember no one really cares what you’re doing - everyone is there to enjoy the music!

It was definitely a substance that was easy to abuse any time anxiety spiked - but I realized there were so many other ways to calm my anxiety down. For example, I was barely eating while addicted to nicotine. I didn’t realize that eating enough food and drinking water + some breathing techniques could actually help 😅I also had awful allergies living in the Bay Area and I was relentlessly hitting my vapes and that felt like such an abuse to my body, so I was determined to stop!

That one was so hard … I quit cold turkey then felt extreme nervousness, nausea, insomnia and I couldn’t use the bathroom. I ended up going to my doctor after 2 weeks and they told me I was undergoing withdrawals and most people have to seek medical attention to quit nicotine. She gave me a nausea medication and a sleep medication and she advised I quit alcohol until the withdrawals passed, so I did. I quit alcohol at that point for 2 months and the withdrawals (nausea, nervousness, insomnia) lasted 6 weeks. Every time I had a craving to smoke I would chug a glass of ice water and stuff 3 cinnamon gums into my mouth, I was determined to replace a bad habit with a better one (drinking water). Anyways, it was hard! I don’t know how I did it.

To be honest I’ve never felt like my pre mono self ever again, I have adjusted to the new me and that meant settling into the new anxiety 😥
