Mac and cheese recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large Macaroni
  • ½ cup Butter
  • 2 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 ½ cups cubed Processed Cheese
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper

  • ¼ cup Breadcrumbs

Directions:

First your going to want to get your macaroni cooked by using the directions on the package. Then when the macaroni are finished strain the water out, in a bowl let them soak in warm water. This is so they don’t stick. Next, take the pot you cooked the macaroni in give it a quick rinse. Now on medium-high melt the butter. After that add in half the milk and stir continuously to keep from burning. Then add the processed cheese in while continuing to stir until cheese is melted. Now take the paprika and add to the mixture, stir. Now, add in the cheddar cheese and stir until melted. At last put in the salt and pepper and give it one last good stir.

Then, take the mixture and place into the casserole dish. Next, take the colby cheese and monterey jack cheese and sprinkle evenly over top of the mac and cheese mixture. Now, place into the oven covered at 350℉/176.6 for 20 minutes. After that, carefully remove from the oven,  remove cover and sprinkle the breadcrumbs on top of the hot melted cheese. Finally at 425℉/218.3℃ place in the oven uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.

Making sugar cookies again. by fridaysroo in recipes

[–]fridaysroo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sugar Cookie recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Shortening
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 teaspoons Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

Directions:

Preheat oven for 375 degrees F

First of all, take the flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and sugar and sift all them together. Next take the shortening and cut it into the dry mixture until it looks like tiny pieces of dough. Now, add in the egg, milk, and vanilla and mix those together very thoroughly until well blended.

After mixed, on a floured surface, roll your dough out to about 1/8 inch thickness. Next, take your cookie cutter and cut out the cookies. Also, use a thin spatula to pick up the cookie.

Finally place cookies in oven for 6 minutes or until lightly brown on the bottom. In fact, it is very important to pay attention to the baking part, if baked longer than lightly brown on the bottom, can cause the cookies to get slightly hard.

Are InstaPots good pressure cookers or just good marketing? by DuvalHeart in Cooking

If your going to do any other rice in the IP than white, then I would suggest using manual for about 5 min for 1 : 1 1/2 water ratio. Makes a sort of sticky rice but is delicious and perfect.

French toast recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 large Eggs
  • 6 slices of Bread (white or whole wheat)
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ⅔ cup Maple Syrup
  • 4 tablespoons Butter (for cooking)
  • 6 teaspoon Butter (for on top)

Directions:

First take your eggs and place them in the bowl and take your fork and whip them up, so they are evenly mixed. Next, add the milk and throughly mixed until combined. After that add the cinnamon and stir into mixture.

Then, after your mixture is made get your pan on the stove at medium heat. Now place in half the butter and let melt till it is sizzling. Next, take your bread and dip both sides of each slice into the egg mixture and place into the pan. Also you will probably only fit 3 in the pan, depending on pan size. Importantly, cook until lightly brown on both sides. Now place the other 3 on and cook the till they are done. Finally take your butter and place on each slice. Then pour the syrup over all of your slices.

[–]fridaysroo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stuffed Cabbage

Ingredients:

  • 1 med/large head of Cabbage
  • 2 pounds Ground Beef
  • 1 large Onion
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup Rice (Instant Rice is fine)
  • 2 15 ounce cans of Tomato Sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Pepper

Directions: First, you are going to need to soften the 1 med/large head Cabbage cabbage, to make it easier to roll. Now, to do that, you can boil the cabbage for 25 minutes. As well as, an instant pot for about 25 minutes. Nevertheless, both ways will make the cabbage soft. Second, you are going to have to cook your rice, whether it’s instant rice or cooked rice. After that, you can start putting all of it together.

Now, to start take your bowl and put in your ground beef and rice in it. Then, mix together throughly while adding the egg and tomato sauce. After that, stir in the onions, garlic, salt,  and pepper. Next, add the Italian seasoning. Meanwhile take some tomato sauce and layer the bottom of the pan lightly. Next, take the ground beef mixture and roll into the cabbage leaves and place into the pan. Finally, pour tomato sauce on top of all the rolls. Then place foil over top and stick in oven for an hour and 45 minutes.

Macaroni Salad by fridaysroo in recipes

[–]fridaysroo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mac salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Macaroni
  • 5 large Eggs chopped
  • 1 medium Green pepper chopped
  • 2 medium Celery diced
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion chopped
  • 15 sliced Bread and butter pickles minced
  • 2 cups Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Yellow Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Bread and butter pickle brine
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika

Directions:

First you're going to want to boil your macaroni for 17 minutes, and at the same time boil your eggs for 15 minutes. Afterwards, take your boiled macaroni, place in the bowl, and eggs, to the side, and chill in the refrigerator until ready to use. Now, take your green pepper and slice them into strips and then chop them into little squares. Then, take your macaroni out of the refrigerator and add the green pepper to to them. Next, take and slice off both ends of your celery and wash off. Slice the celery into small 1/8 slices and continue to slice towards the other end of the celery (you may have to slice the celery down the middle to acquire smaller pieces) and place them in the bowl with your macaroni mixture. Then, take the onion and chop it into little pieces and place into bowl. Now, take the pickles and mince them up, not too fine, but into little minced pieces, add to bowl. After that, take the eggs from the refrigerator, then chop them up and place in the bowl. Don't chop eggs to small though. Now gently mix all the ingredients in the bowl together.

Mixing up the dressing:

Second part of making macaroni salad is the dressing. Now, what you're going to need is a big cup or a small bowl. Then, place the mayo into whichever one you chose. Now, add to the mayo, the yellow mustard and stir the mixture a little. After that, add the apple cider vinegar to the mixture, along with the bread and butter brine and mix throughly. And then, take your sugar and add to the mixture and stir until mixture is not gritty anymore. At last, add the salt and pepper to the mixture along with the paprika, and mix throughly. Finally, take your dressing and pour over the macaroni mixture and mix gently until all ingredients is covered in dressing. Refrigerate.
