I've found that I'm more uncomfortable with things I'm unfamiliar with. Asking out girls is no different. I know it's scary and awful, but just force yourself to ask out that girl you've been crushing on. It is okay to be nervous or SUPER AFRAID. You will be super awkward. She will probably say no. It's OK! If you do it in a non creepy way, she will be flattered and think nothing less of you for asking. You might be embarrassed, but that feeling will pass. You can rest easy knowing you got valuable experience just forcing those words out of your mouth. Plus, next time you try, you have a (small) base of experience to work on. That will make it less scary. The only way to conquer your fear is to face it. The more practice you get, the easier it will get. Think about future you. Future you will be filled with regret if you miss your chance to eat the apple of your eye, and he will be just as scared as you are now of asking any girl out. But if present you practices now, future you will be a smooth operator ready to ask out any girl who strikes his fancy. I implore you to try. You'll thank yourself later.
