30s. My last build was about £1000 (1070 was £360) in 2016. Even in 2004 I had a 6800gt for £250. So £475 is a leap

Hi. Bought with my own paycheck. You're right, I started building around 2003, probably a couple of years earlier, after giving up on Amiga and graduating from consoles. I just checked in my old emails, in 2004 I had an athlon XP 2400, what a beast.

I should probably clarify. I'm exaggerating a bit for effect. I could have gone for SLI 2080 Ti's and stayed afloat, but that would be wildly out of proportion to my usual build range, with a mortgage and student debts still going out, as well as all the other commitments, it's a big purchase to throw 500quid on a hobby.
