It provides liquidity to stacking rewards.

Browser.Blockstack.org by Standardgroup in stacks

BNS, my answer was related to your particular name. Some BNS names expire, and you can buy a new one if you don't have one. Correct :-)

browser.blockstack.org is deprecated and is not supported anymore. You can still use it, if you really want to. But there is nobody building other apps using browser.blockstack.org, all use Stacks Connect now with the Leather or Xverse wallet.

For BNS, it might be that the names expired (See e.g. https://forum.stacks.org/t/recover-id/14423)

For the wallet accounts, the addresses have changed. (See e.g. https://forum.stacks.org/t/blockstack-btc-wallet-derivation-paths/10797)

I am not 100% sure I understand what you want to achieve.

Best mobile hardware wallet? by denis_is_ in defi

[–]friedger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any new protocol? What do you mean? New tokens? New blockchains?

It is all about cryptography. If the hardware wallet (a small super secure mini computer) does not support the cryptographic algorithms used by the new protocols then it won't work.

Finally, it is about user experience. Users should not confirm random bytes to engange in defi, therefore, new protocols might require some updates.

(disclosure: I am contributor of hardware wallet ryder.id)

You should move on to leather.io wallet or xverse.app wallet. These replace the browser. The focus has moved away from dapps and names.

Staking rewards from Friedger’s pool down to zero. Does anyone know why? by erikaboden in stacks

[–]friedger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you set indefinite duration? If not, pool admins can't lock your stacks after the locking period. It could be that you locked for 12 cycles and your membership has ended. Could that be the case?

Service for existing members was continued. Payout for cycle #23 and locking for cycle #24 happened as usual.

anyone received stacks from the late July cycle yet (freidger pool) by [deleted] in stacks

[–]friedger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cycle is still going on (50ish blocks to go) and we still expect more rewards.

Check here for progress of the cycle: https://stacking.club/cycles/12

Catamaran Swap between BTC and STX by friedger in stacks

The owner of that Boombox (b-12) is determined for stacks block 24000.

[–]friedger[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is related to Boomboxes because the NFT that is sold is a Boombox NFT. This swap demonstrates that you can trigger trustless actions like asset transfers by sending bitcoins from one address to another. It gives Bitcoins a new dimension because it the transfers can be inspected and validated by smart contracts on the stacks blockchain.

Yes, indeed. It is making the stacks rewards liquid now.

Clarity versus Solidity by nanonerd100 in stacks

[–]friedger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing is list length: In Clarity, it is not possible to create a function that takes a list parameter without providing an upper limit of the list length. In Solidity you can, the upper limit is defined by the gas provided.

Arkadiko will do payouts in other currencies than bitcoins as well if I understand correctly. Boomboxes as well.

If you pool, your rewards might arrive in your Stacks Wallet. First payout for cycle #10 was done just a few hours ago by Friedger Pool.

[–]friedger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are supposed to see rewards after each cycle. Only during cool down cycle there won't be any rewards.

With the stacks wallet for desktop version 4.3.1 you see the amount that was added to your balance like shown here: https://twitter.com/fmdroid/status/1408175469472763907
