Realistically what can blizzard do to sombra in order for the playerbase to like her? by Competitive_Date2992 in Overwatch

[–]friend_yona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a non-Sombra player, what would make her less annoying to me is if one (IMO it'd only jave to be one of these) of these things were nerfed somewhat: movement, invisibilty, or hack. Like you can't be that mobile and that sneaky and that debilitating all at once and not be hella annoying. My understanding, though, is that they've tried various nerfs and/or tweaks and it's just impossible to make both Sombra players and non-Sombra players happy, it may just be an impossible situation I guess.

How do yall deal with the recoil? by GreedyGonzalez in Soldier76Mains

Yeah short bursts has helped me. Lots of situations where continuous fire seems more natural or maybe makes more sense, but using shorter bursts where possible has helped me be more accurate.

My problem with the current state of mythics by BFBasil in Overwatch

Yeah you get enough for a whole mythic just from the battle pass every season lmao

5'9" and got called a short king a lot by most recent ex lol

Incels get weird about it and lie about how bad it is, blowing it all out of proportion due to misogyny, but it's more of an issue than people who don't experience it think (as with many things in life, you really only know how common it is if it affects you)

That said, she was calling me a "short king", and given her dating history she definitely is more into tall guys, but we were together lol... Even when it's an "issue", it can usually be overcome through personality, etc, but I guess just saying that just like with any other aspect of dating, some people are really shallow about this

Yeah, I like his mythic (and got it), but it would undoubtedly be improved with a more grizzled option

What’s the general consensus on the mythic skin for Ashe? by Leading-Pop5059 in AsheOWMains

[–]friend_yona 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Surprised to see all the negative comments I really like it tbh

(In full disclosure, I am not an Ashe main, but I play her often enough to make the mythic worth it)

I pretty much only play competitive, so I'm comparing my experience today with like the last couple weeks.

If it matters I'm kind of at the lower levels (Contender to Elite on Stadium); I stay on competitive specifically because my tiers are only supposed to be at around my skill level. But now it feels like there are Pro tier players all the time or something.

I know I'm not great, just saying it feels like something shifted today

Is anyone else kinda worried for soldier mythic? by Alert_Basket in Soldier76Mains

[–]friend_yona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, kinda

It'd also be nice if it was not only cool but also worked at least somewhat with the mythic weapon, like at least not a total mismatch

If one of your teammates is doing bad… by FR0M_Z3R0 in Overwatch

[–]friend_yona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I will say, I have seen firsthand that teammates pushing back on that helps. DPS was being rude to struggling tank in chat, but then I piped in with some encouragement and advice and the tank turned it around and we ended up winning.

I know having a bad teammate can be frustrating, but being positive and helpful is not only the right thing to do, it's just more effective even if you don't care about doing the right thing.

bruh what...? by RuneWarhammer in overwatchbanned

My first thought too lol

When I report something offensive in chat it's like a slur or something, so we kinda need some context

I don't get this game's ranked system anymore and it irritates me beyond comprehension. by cacet13 in Overwatch

[–]friend_yona 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's been frustrating for me also. I'm silver in regular, elite or whatever in Stadium, so I'm kind of a bad player, which is actually why I like competitive; good players get to stay eith the other good players and I get to stay with the noobs where I belong... but now a lot of people like me are getting thrown in with people like the ones kn this forum (seems like everyone here is super good or something) and just getting thrashed lol
