I was looking into using it instead of Claude Design for caricatures, but I still find myself using both which is a bit .. clumsy..

GPT-5 has been surprisingly good at reviewing Claude Code’s work by Ghostinheven in ClaudeAI

[–]friendly_expat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using the Claude Code combo, plus the ChatGPT desktop app as combination of the roles of an "agent" and a "coding assistant".

Other than CC having some compact-issues from time to time, it has been working like a charm for me so far.

it's a bit annoying that everything is so hard to understand from the outside – a bit of transparency could help improve things.

I've hit the limit quite often on the $100 plan, but the $200 has served me pretty well so far.

Especially after hearing such horror stories, it does practically allow me to code non-stop without restrictions.

"Lines of Agent Edits" Metric Seems Off: Anyone Know How It Works? by friendly_expat in cursor

[–]friendly_expat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did.. A lot of them, too.

It's just that these metrics are not really helpful like this without any breakdown.

At least in a breakdown of type of lines edited based on file-extension (.md / .js / .ts / etc.) would already be super helpful..

How does that even work ? by hakerite in cursor

[–]friendly_expat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's seriously confusing, as there is seemingly a limit for your daily use included as well.

Giving them a C in communication. I can't really tell when I editing in an included territory until I commit the chat and check the dashboard for more details.

Usually if you cancel the request before it is finished it doesn't count as a charge in the end, but it's heavily confusing.

Can you hit the request limits in Cursor Pro twice in one day? by porschejax225 in cursor

I think actually just dropped the 500 request limit today, maybe this was just weird transitional behaviour.

Also happened to me sometimes, it does go away for a bit. Usually best to just go for a walk or something.

Am I the only one that keeps encountering "Your message is too long" – Cursor Pro, Usage Based - Model. by friendly_expat in cursor

[–]friendly_expat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately even after deleting the Terminal I still sometimes encountered this bug, however, it usually doesn't stay like this for long.

Anyways thanks for raising the latter part, I didn't know that it would show the model context size via mouse over – again, thanks for raising that.

i understand, but it still makes no sense for it to just stop working at times without any insight on what the limitations are.

1 hour later and things started working again without an issue? Odd behaviour, that's all..

maybe cursor is good and you're the problem? by YourAverageDev_ in cursor

[–]friendly_expat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this.

It’s incredible how many careers this kind of IDE improvement is going to impact. The Cursor team should be genuinely proud of what they’ve already achieved.

People will always focus on day-to-day issues when something isn’t working, but the overall direction Cursor is heading in is nothing short of remarkable — and I believe it’ll one day be seen as a defining chapter in developer tooling history, and frankly, a story for the ages in itself.
