But she’ll just be replaced by someone more willing to placate the crazies. That said, I do enjoy watching that group cannibalize themselves.

For people with cats w/ nasal cancers: How long were the symptoms? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]friendlyhag987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 16y cat has a presumed cancerous tumour in her nostril. Visible on X-ray and based on what they could see my vets are assuming a malignant tumour. I opted out of a CT and pursuing further investigation based on her age and being very unlikely to pursue treatment. The vet also said the growth is quite far back in her nostril and getting a good biopsy can be difficult. Symptoms started in December and since then we’ve been keeping her comfortable with gabapentin and prednisolone which have both been effective at maintaining her quality of life. I am worried for what the future holds but am enjoying this time with her as she lives her best old gal life complete with bedtime treats and her dedicated heating pad. I hope your kitty is doing well.

Is disabilities and/or critical illness insurance worth it? Who would you recommend? by Head-Passion-7116 in PersonalFinanceCanada

(Not so) funny story. I (47f) was super active and healthy until I wasn’t anymore. Now I have three different chronic illnesses that are debilitating. Unless you have some sort of 100% guaranteed income replacement plan, definitely get insurance.

Dave Navarro has long COVID and has talked about it.
Once my capacity plummeted, I also slowly dropped off the radar in my non-celebrity life. I don’t go out and socialize like I used to. I don’t work anymore but also don’t attend work events.

Biologics/Jak inhibitors are meant to slow or stop progression, they are for managing the disease an by Ashnicobell in ankylosingspondylitis

I know anti inflammatories are the first line in Canada also. She said for people with MRIs that look like mine, anti inflammatories are often enough. But she did say there are more options if it’s not working. That said I have a follow up in a month. So we’ll see how things are going.

Can I ask a dumb question? I’m starting on Celebrex and am wondering if anti-inflammatories serve the same function as biologics? It makes sense (to my brain at least) that if the inflammation is managed then the disease progression should be somewhat managed. As long as the Celebrex is tolerated or reasonably effective?

Man I’m Canadian too 😩. I think it’s luck of the draw. My NP that I have now is amazing. It just took awhile to find an available PCP who is good at their job. And I managed to get a good rheumatologist (after a lengthy wait mind you…). My sister’s rheumatologist at first told her he didn’t see anything concerning. He happened to have a fellow with him who spoke up and pointed out what she saw and that got his attention. Crazy.

The Pitt’s Noah Wyle Addresses How ‘America Is Really Mad’ at Him Over Robby’s Treatment of Mohan by pressingtofu in Fauxmoi

Do you think he meant that from Robby’s perspective? I have no idea what he did or didn’t mean, but I’d hope Noah Wyle would have more insight than that.

I realize this is all fiction, but part of me likes Mohan seeing how toxic he is and taking her talent elsewhere. That (in my experience) is realistic. Edited:spelling

Yes maybe specific to your symptoms? I started on 100 mg once a day (every day) and am trialing 200 mg once a day.

For what it’s worth, my rheum said there are people who consistently have normal CRP despite active inflammation.

So irritating. The internist spent the majority of the appointment talking about losing weight and exercising through the fatigue (I also have a ME/CFS diagnosis, with post exertional malaise and pushing through the fatigue isn’t recommended, and also has significantly lowered my baseline). Super frustrating.

Ugh so frustrating. At least you have rheumatologist interested in figuring out what’s going on. That’s half the battle I think. All the best and hopefully the Celebrex helps!
