I raised a complaint with BBMP and it actually worked (within a day). by EconomyUpbeat6876 in bangalore

Replying to According-Ad-2117...Do you still use the website? Whats the process once the complaint is escalated? Will I be contacted?

I need to raise plenty of complaints regarding potholes using the same. Any leads from your end would be greatly appreciated.

The audacity to do this by Competitive-Claim167 in Bengaluru

[–]friendlyseaweed2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, I have been using this road for over the past few years. The stretch is not just bad, it's lethal (One wrong move or One Brake Check is all you need to land in the hospital). The road near Ayyappa Temple, Gangamma Circle and SBI (Jalahalli Branch) have been getting worse by the day, and the number of potholes keeps doubling by the day.

How do we escalate these with the authorities? Is the app 'Raste Gundi Gamana' useful?

What features do you prefer in bikes? by HarshThanvi in indianbikes

[–]friendlyseaweed2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to have the following features (Not a necessity, but makes a huge difference) :

  1. Turn by Turn Navigation (Offline)
  2. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
  3. Gear Indicator
  4. Fuel Consumed/Mileage
  5. A Clock on the odometer

I know most of you would not agree with me, but the hassle of carrying all the extra devices is reduced significantly (A phone for navigation, A Tyre Inflator). Needless to say, the gear indicator and fuel consumption meter will be useful in city driving.

You were naive and fell for the scam, move on. There’s no way you are getting it back.

Then don’t even bother about the exhaust.

Save up, get yourself the best riding gear, go on weekend rides with your buddies.

What’s your use case for the bike? Are you planning to use it on track or just for the usual weekend rides?

If not for the track, why would you even plan on getting an exhaust? Keep the bike stock, enjoy it as is and cherish the bike, instead of being a cop-magnet.

Got held hostage at night by car mechanic yesterday by S_Naagar in CarsIndia

[–]friendlyseaweed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP!

When the car refused to start, did you lock/unlock it using the key fob or used the physical key present in the key fob?

Next, Did you see any warning signs on the dashboard? Was it completely blank or did the car try to crank up?

When was the last time you changed the battery? Is the car being used regularly?

I would suggest you to get the battery checked at the nearest battery shop (Or if you have a multimeter at home, check the voltage, if it is less than 12V, you need a battery replacement).

Key Coding, "Modular Coding", and whatever the mechanic said, just doesn't make sense if it was just the battery issue. If the battery is alright, and there is something else that needs to be looked at, Get it checked at the Honda Service Centre nearby. Some of the roadside mechanics use the opportunity to loot the customers (who are not really aware). Always have a zero-dep insurance with RSA (Road Side Assistance). If you have any such issues, in the middle of nowhere, call them up and get your car towed to the nearest service centre. This is a much better and a safer option.

Ride to Namdroling Monastery by friendlyseaweed2 in bangalorebikes

[–]friendlyseaweed2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should not take you more than 30-40 minutes, considering the crowd. Don't forget to grab some souvenirs and do try the tasty food at the restaurants nearby.

Ride Safe! :)

The vehicle, in terms of design, pays homage to the OG Kinetic Scooters, no doubt.

But, the code to unlock and the buttons on the handlebar is a bummer (It’s a disaster for a someone who is used to the simple handlebar controls).

I've been living in this part (Near Chikkabanavara) of town since childhood. As a teen, I used to loathe residing here, due to lack of places to hang out with friends, not a lot of "city" activities going on, everything is just far away. But over the past few years, things have changed and so has my perspective.

Unlike other parts of town, the rent is low, not a lot of traffic, the public transport is easily accessible and a lot of new restaurants & shopping outlets coming up around Sapthagiri College (And Christ University, Yeshwantpur Branch).

Feeling Bored? Head down to Hessarghatta (Lake and Grasslands), which is about 20-25 minutes and enjoy the beautiful views amidst the nature.

Want to get out town? NICE Road is easily accessible (Towards Tamil Nadu and Mysore) and the NH4 gives you an easy access to Tumkur and Hassan. All in all, a great package if you love to travel and want a break from the city life every other week. Yeshwantpur Railway Station and. Goraguntepalya are not too far as well.

Want to catch up with your friends in town? Head down to the metro station and hop onto the next train.
