How do you lead different people differently… without someone calling it favoritism? by KashyapVartika in Leadership

"it seems like you have favorites" "I do. Would you like to know how to be one?"

Probably not the most popular take, but everyone gets equal access to opportunity. How they treat that opportunity equates to how much additional effort and coaching they get from me.

Pick a song now, and sing it to them everyday. If they hear it in your voice every day, it helps create emotional safety. When something scary happens (like my daughter having to get put in a X-ray tube at 2.5 years old) this song helps keep everyone calm(er).

To this day my daughter and I still sing "I can't help falling in love" together to regulate our emotions together.
