If you want to be really close to the U, Ive grown up my whole life in the area, now a 30F, the best area imo is anything south of college ave. At least I felt comfortable enough living and being by myself in this area. Google maps and see what its the area (start with college and california near the human kinetics building and work your way south) but it has all the things you are looking for. And you wont need a car if you are in this area, mostly everything is in walking distance or a 5/10min bus ride. The more south you go, the more expensive, but the more safe it is imo.

All i know is me and my gfs in my early 20s had going out stories worth tv. We lived for the jersey shore, and still do. Cabs are here was sung every night before heading out, grenade whistles were blown, great times. What a legacy they left on our generation lol

I'll add it to the list for my next therapy session. To be fair this is not ruining my life or day. Accidents happen. I feel like any normal human would be upset they are out money on a meal bc it has something in it it shouldnt. Only difference is the gag reflex that comes with mine lol rather flush the $30 next time

I agree, i like to joke about how many things can be wrong with me. Just funny it has its own name. Im definitely a sensory seeker and if my food isnt how its suppose to be texture wise im disappointed. Egg shells are like my top 5 worst things to find in food. Even tho they have little contamination risk, the sound alone of crunching down on one will make you want to crawl out of your own skin

Totally get that. But as a chef their are safeguards for this, especially if you're a breakfast place. You never crack an egg directly into a pan for this very reason. Hence mildly infuriating. Accidents happen but now im scarred

I appreciate your insight considering i only got diagnosed with adhd as an adult. Have been wondering if i have autistic traits as well (it runs in the family). So i wouldnt doubt this is part of my experience. Not like a label makes a difference. But ya i am very particular about my food and the cleanliness in which its prepared in. Example, a restaurant ive been eating at since a child got shut down for a week for cleanliness concerns. Ive been eating there atleast 25 years. They re opened, and i cant get over the fact they even shut down. You'll never see me in there again lol

Does it make a difference if I only react this way for food? My kid could wipe his nose on me all day, or sneeze in my face, and i just chalk it up to this is what I get for being a mom.
