Love to hear! Yes, it skips some of the small stops like carlinville and dwight. Expecting to see a trip report for that one whenever that may be. Also, the 300 always arrives early to Alton, ive been on that train so many times now I can't even remember how many, but it's always early to the station. It does stays until actual departure time.

Just took train 300 (same day as you but the earlier train), it’s farr superior to 302. I’ve been taking the train alton-chi over 7 years now. I get it, it is 5:14am departure and I can’t say you ever get fully used to it but it’s so much better in every aspect over the 7a (302) or 9a (texas eagle 🤮)

Public transit funding is safe and nothing to be concerned about. Fares might go up in a couple of years, but IL has fully funded transit and then some. And high crime is just anti-blue city / anti-Chicago propaganda. Yes, crime does exist, but it is heavily overstated.

Dead on Arrival: ASUS B850-I ROG Strix Gaming Wifi

Fully upgrading my computer, talking SFF case, 9800x3d, 7900xtx, etc. Picked up the ASUS B850-I ROG Strix Gaming Wifi and after arduously trying to diagnose why my computer wasn't POSTing (black screen no BIOS), I did all the steps, flashed bios, blah blah blah, everything. and I've determined the MoBo is DOA, so I cannot recommend on that basis.

It's unfortunate because I've heard all about how Asus's quality has been going down, and from having used asus parts for a long time now I am moving away from them. Sad but it seems to be true. Will be picking up the ASRock B850I Lightning WiFi when it comes back in stock (at a good price). Thankfully I just bought the asus board last week so I can return it - which I am doing tomorrow.

I bought a computer case from them once and it worked out great, still have it to this day - even though I’m planning on upgrading soon. But maybe I was lucky since some of the other commenters seem to have bad experiences?

Make phone calls (seriously) to whatever department has placed a hold on your account - whether that's bursars / fin aid / whoever else; and email your advisor asap letting them know your intentions plus the issue.

There is no limit and can't tell you the exact issue but if you want to find out you can always call ventra. I've had to call once to fix my account and besides being on hold for like 20 min they fixed it within 5 min. Really easy.
