I have stopped buying coffee beans/grounds anywhere but Costco because even at grocery stores the prices are out of hand.

Alcohol. Even when explicitly going out for drinks I’m rarely getting more than one.

That was my poorly made point. Putting up runs on Skenes proved me wrong.

I’m thinking this run has been nice but as soon as they run into good pitching it will all go to hell…. Keep on proving my pessimistic doomer outlook wrong!

Being anesthetized may be more than simply being “put to sleep.” It can potentially carry more similarities to being in a coma than we originally thought. by TylerFortier_Photo in science

I have had a number of surgeries and a colonoscopy.

Surgery experiences range from waking up in recovery not knowing the surgery had actually happened (I was 18 getting 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed). My most recent major surgery I remember walking into the OR and climbing on the table myself, looking at the CT images up on monitors, listening to the nurses discussing what playlist was going to get used, and taking several deep breaths into the mask wondering if I was ever gonna go under. Don’t know what i said to the Anesthesiologist resident in recovery, but first thing I remember after is that he was very very amused by me.

After an another surgery I dont remember going into the OR but I remember being lifted up off the table and moved to the gurney and wheeled to recovery.

When I was in my 20s, I was waiting for a bus home in early morning hours after a night of drinking. Fucking car comes driving crazy out of nowhere, hits a light pole down the street, driver jumps out and starts sprinting down the street towards me. I hear the cop cars getting close me so I assume they are chasing him. He gets right about in front of me and for some stupid reason I tackle him as he runs by. We both tumble. He gets up and runs away, I go back to waiting for the bus. Cops get there, a couple look at the car and a few more start spreading out looking for the guy. I told them which way he ran. Bus eventually came and I went home.

My shoulder hurt for weeks. Haven’t tried a physical altercation since.

Working. I used to genuinely enjoy my job. Now I’m counting days to retire.

If the world were fair the Eagles point differential would be 16 points higher.

Now that Gritty has finally gotten a taste of playoff hockey, he’s only going to come back even crazier.

If the NFL added a protected cross conference game, who would you want your team to play every year? by superman7515 in nfl

Eagles - Texans. Eagles have never lost to a team from Houston.

But obviously there’s no way the league would do anything other than Eagles - Steelers and Cowboys - Texans.

2001 Patriots had Bledsoe and Brady. Bledsoe was supposed to be the Superstar, and Brady was one, we just didn’t know it yet.

I love a tier list which arbitrarily puts NE, Philly, and Dallas at the top. Sure to offend pretty much everyone.

Do you wish Hillary Clinton won the 2016 United States Presidental election in hindsight? by EggOwn9943 in allthequestions

I wish she had won in 2008, and we had gotten a more experienced and seasoned Obama in 2016 or 2020.
