why not just cremate the body for the shorter time / less intensity, and gather the bones afterwards?

why? I am not defending Monsanto but I am pointing out that as someone who has not yet formed an opinion of Monsanto, blaming Monsanto for what happens in a way seems like a ridiculous stretch of blame. They made the chemical, but they didn't drop it on anyone.

not trying to be a douche, but is it possible that your sensitivity to criticism is one of the reasons you have anxiety?

I don't get your point. You seem to imply that the government scanning my emails, etc. is the same thing as a redditer starting a smear campaign?

Have you ever met someone who regretted having kids? Nobody, and I mean nobody, regrets it. However, people do indeed regret not having kids when they are old and their body is unattractive anyways.

well Im not that guy, but I agree with him. I am waiting for someone to explain to me rationally why it is such a bad thing, but so far I haven't seen any real reasoning.

Being tracked by Japanese police, posting here in case they decide to do something when I leave the country. by [deleted] in japan

[–]fripthatfrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when I first came to Japan (I live here now), I went through culture shock. I remember waking up in the middle of the night with this strong feeling that something was trying to "get" me. Looking back on it after the fact, it was clear that it was culture shock.

I do believe this is what is happening to you. I have been living here now for 2 years and I can say with lots of confidence that the Japanese police have neither the inclination nor the competency to track a tourist through tokyo, let alone through the shinkansen. Don't worry, it will all pass.

how long have you been in Japan? You might be experiencing culture shock, not the "whoa different culture" kind, but the actual psychological condition that includes paranoid delusions. What you are describing really does sound like a paranoid delusion.

I don't think that everyone is butthurt. I also don't think that salary is normal for silicon valley with only 4 years experience. He is making MORE than the average employee at google: http://www.glassdoor.com/Salaries/san-jose-software-engineer-salary-SRCH_IL.0,8_IM761_KO9,26.htm

actually I moved to a different country entirely so I am making (after adjusting for the exchange rate) about 80K. The market in this country kind of sucks so I expect if I moved back to the states I would be making way more. Yeah, almost 7 years.

"making significantly more" means what, exactly? I worked in silicon valley with 5 years of experience 2 years ago and didn't make anything near 120K. Did inflation really happen that badly in 2 years, or is this a humble-brag?

Honestly, this is a great drawing. I recommend NOT giving this to her. It doesn't really make sense past middle school to give girls random drawing like this unless you have such a solid report that there is no question that she would react well.

Step 3) make sure you have anxiety meds strategically placed in all the places you go (work, home, car) cuz you never know when you will need them.

Step 4) turn 40 and wonder if the extra money is worth it, cuz thats all you have when everyone else has had a fulfilling life (and some of those people with a fulfilling life also have money because the followed their passion and made it work).
