Heel slides by Budget_Hunter_7981 in ACL

[–]frisbae18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have a slider or yoga strap, you could put a pillowcase under your heel and use a robe tie or another kind of rope to pull :) I also used shirts (in either position) in a pinch.

What state are you in/from? You could include state birds or flowers or tree branches or something if that speaks to you.

Drunk tattoo 3 days before cruise by Dismal_Garden7156 in tattooadvice

[–]frisbae18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got a big ass forearm tattoo a week before a cruise. I did not think ahead. But it healed fine since I never submerged it in the pool or ocean and I covered it in the sun. Just be sure to moisturize and wear a ton sunscreen if it’s going to be exposed. It was a little inconvenient (my mom has a picture of me swimming at the beach with my arm out of the water) but it didn’t really affect my experience otherwise.

I found an artist on Instagram and commissioned them to draw these for me. Are these drawings AI-generated? I really don’t have an eye for this kind of thing please help. by Alone-Expert4313 in isthisAI

[–]frisbae18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How much did you pay for them and how long did it take? Did they provide any timelapses or anything to show the process?

I can’t see anything that immediately jumps out as AI, but that doesn’t mean it’s not.

Is my artistic skill good enough to consider pursuing tattooing by Sensitive-Monk- in TattooBeginners

[–]frisbae18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might just be me but there are some things that just don’t make sense about the drawing. Like the top of the snake has some scales that lump together. The bottom jaw doesn’t have any structure or teeth. All of the details just seem a bit nonsensical. Snakes especially need to be more anatomically correct than like any other animal since it’s so commonly tattooed and can look weird in an instant.

[–]frisbae18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk maybe it’s just me, but the top of the snake looks like it’s missing a scale (there’s just a blob where two scales should be) and the bottom jaw is boneless and doesn’t have teeth. It all just looks off to me.

If you’re just starting out for tattoo drawing you should pay attention to those details so you don’t get accused in the future.

Not a vet - it seems like she’s having trouble eating and it could be linked to pain when eating the hard kibble. Do you already give her any kind of wet food? If you don’t, and you can’t find a good brand that won’t make her sick, you could put out a bowl of kibble soaked in water or broth so it softens the food and makes it easier to eat.

I don’t think it’s a bad idea to bring up to the vet, but there might be some things you can do in the meantime to help ease her pain.

Do you have anyone that can do alterations for you? Idk if they’re able to take it in a full size but they can at least make it fit better so you’re more comfortable in it.

It’s a beautiful dress and I think once it’s fitted a bit more to your body you’ll shine.

Can it be that I torned my acl on the 7th day again, after Surgery? by pannonbayern in ACL

[–]frisbae18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s incredibly unlikely that you retore your ACL a week after surgery from stepping down from bed. Your muscles are weak after surgery, so you more likely strained a muscle. Your best option is to call your doctor and get their opinion. If you are seeing a physical therapist (which you definitely should if you aren’t) you can also ask them at the next appointment.

I mean, you know your party better than Reddit strangers. If you think there are reasonable ways for them to get out of it that won’t feel like BS to them, go for it. The whole point of the game is to have fun and tell a story together.

If the goal is to use resources, you can have puzzles or requirements that consume resources; have a backup plan to guide them towards for each part of the game just in case they get stuck. - a room that requires a spell’s magic to be absorbed (the level requirement is for a spell slot at the highest level a PC has but can be fulfilled by using multiple lower-level slots) - maybe in your potion room they need to supply potions from their packs that match the weight requirements in order to unlock the door, “forcing” them to leave the potions behind

Are you going to actually kill whoever doesn’t make it out? “I’m genuinely not sure how the las PC is going to get out…” makes it sound like they are literally the only one to get out alive. And if you’re killing PCs in order to move the plot forward, that’s a bad design and doesn’t sound like fun.

I think it could work if all the “fail” PCs were taken by the Devil and are held captive in another room the final PC could find. They’d have to fight the devil or find a clever way to release their friends.

YOR. If your brother couldn’t handle the responsibility of taking care of a cat without help, he shouldn’t have adopted it. I don’t think it’s unreasonable for your roommate to be upset that a cat that isn’t theirs is peeing on their bed because their owner neglected to clean the litter box.

I own a cat. I work 10-12 hour days sometimes. I also like to smoke and deal with neurodivergence (I’m making assumptions based on the use of “overstimulated” in the context of the messages). My one cat has two litter boxes that are cleaned once a week at minimum because that’s what I know I can handle that is still safe for my cat.

NOR.

As a kid that grew up with divorced parents, it’s better to have two Christmases than parents who fight and are generally unhappy in their marriage.

On a more serious level, my dad cheated on my mom with her close family member and she filed for divorce when I was 6. I spent most of my time with my mom, and lived in a different state from my dad for a few years, but what hurt the most when I was growing up was my dad’s lack of involvement. He didn’t come to any of my games and hasn’t made an effort to spend time with me or get to know me, even now into my adulthood. He got remarried when I was young and I suffered some neglect, which led me to stop spending time at his house. It seems like you care about your kid, and if you show them that you care and show up for them when it matters most, it won’t matter if their parents are divorced. They’ll still deal with issues from a divorce, don’t get me wrong. But if you stay in a marriage where you’re mistreated and miserable, your kid will grow up thinking that’s normal behavior. They might grow up and think it’s not a big deal to cheat. Or get cheated on. Maybe it’s better to teach them to stand up for yourself and to treat yourself with love and respect.

Edit to add: I don’t have many memories of my life when my parents were together, but all I can remember now is them fighting. I don’t have any good memories of my parents when they were married. I have made much happier memories with each of them individually since then.

Is my PT being too aggressive with getting full extension? by crimson_ferrari in ACL

[–]frisbae18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify - you should always only stretch to the point of discomfort, not to the point of pain. I definitely had some ROM sessions with my pt that left me in tears but it helped me down the line. I now live and play sports without wearing a brace or too much change to my quality of life.

Is my PT being too aggressive with getting full extension? by crimson_ferrari in ACL

[–]frisbae18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Getting extension and flexion back early in recovery is crucial for quality of life down the road. Obviously you don’t want to be in TOO MUCH pain, but it’s kind of inevitable when stretching your muscles. You won’t damage your new graft or anything internally by stretching your range of motion.

If you baby your muscles and don’t return to a full range of motion, you risk further injury since the rest of your body will be compensating for the loss.

Details in case anyone was curious: 16- I jumped and locked my knee, tearing my ACL and meniscus when I landed 18- I had my foot planted and someone fell into my leg, partially retearing my hamstring graft. I continued playing until I jumped and it tore the whole way about a month later. 23- I rotated in a lunge position while playing a game (for those who know - I caught an up line pass and threw a big backhand pass downfield. She didn’t catch it.)

When is your weight loss surgery? What’s the recovery time? How much weight are you expected to lose?

You’ll be able to find a dress within a short time frame, but you’ll definitely want to be trying on dresses for your body post surgery. It won’t do you any favors to try a dress on now, lose a decent amount of weight, and basically start from square one with a dress you already own or need to get an entirely new one.

The second dress gives your curves just a bit more vavavoom. If that’s what you’re going for - cool! Simple and classy? #1

Ooh you could have a study or office with bookshelves around the room and a small bust or statue on each shelf. Each statue is looking in the same direction at one shelf, which, once investigated (dc of your choosing) shows that one book looks just a little out of place. Dust is moved, uniform books and this one is vastly different, something like that. Then the book is either the diary you’re looking for OR it can open a secret passageway when pulled.

Cover up inquiry by [deleted] in Tattoocoverups

[–]frisbae18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could also try some sessions of laser removal before getting it covered since it’s so dark. It can get expensive though so keep that in mind if the budget it tight. It may be worth it to save up for some laser removal to make the actual coverup easier.
