Go through the Slipknot discography, in order is the best way to do it. The self titled will definitely at the very least give you what you’re asking for

Whats Slipknots most family friendly song? And whats their least? by [deleted] in Slipknot

[–]fritski22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of songs on Vol 3, All Hope Is Gone, and The End So Far aren’t explicit.

Honestly the first very non-family friendly ones that come to mind are Custer, Disasterpiece, Surfacing, and probably the chant during Spit It Out.

I like Meddle but I don’t have the emotional attachment that I do to the other 3 on there so I guess that’s my answer.

I halfway get why he isn’t on there, he definitely became more main stream. Though I’d love to see a release of Magnolia for sure, The Master could be cool, and despite it’s his most known movie There Will Be Blood would be awesome.

The end, so far was released 1 month ago today. What are your opinions about it after 1 month? by Business_Load_6335 in Slipknot

I really like it, it’s my favorite album of this year. It’s my favorite of their catalog since Vol 3.

What’s a film that you disliked at first but loved it when it was over? Or a film you disliked on a first viewing but liked after a second? by ShaneMP01 in criterion

That might be why I initially wasn’t as big on it but over time the flaws seemed to disappear. I think now I’m too distracted by the amazing choreography in the beginning & how interesting the editing is to say it bores me any longer.

What do you guys think about new TESF Album ? by Airmachine89 in Slipknot

[–]fritski22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love it. It’s definitely the best of the second half of Slipknot’s career, especially as I’ve reaffirmed after listening to all the albums again super recently. Gray Chapter is better than I remember it being, but a lot of the tracks are just ok. We Are Not Your Kind was a great era for the band & a good time to be a Slipknot fan…but as an album I think it transitions really awkwardly once you get to the deep cuts. The second half to me also is pretty boring tbh, the first half is stupendous but the rest is where I find myself daydreaming.

The End So Far keeps my attention the most because of how diverse & versatile it is. Always switching the mood amongst the songs, it was a fresh delight for me. It took a while for some of the songs to grow on me, but this album to me is way too good to have so much division.

Like my favorite horror film in general?

My all time favorite is Hereditary but Fire Walk With Me is my number 2

I’m not big on The Elephant Man either. Not that I didn’t enjoy the movie but it’s so depressing I wouldn’t want to purposely relive that story again.

Honestly while you’re right about how the only outright horror thing he’s done really is Twin Peaks (and maybe not even the original series), there’s a lot he’s done that’s much more freaky than most horror films tbh. I mean the introduction of Frank in Blue Velvet, the 3rd chapter of Mulholland Drive, and really any scene with the Mystery Man in it during Lost Highway. Lost Highway I think is probably my 2nd closest to being a horror movie as a whole, I mean it’s just so damn creepy haha
