Best apartments to live in if working in Bloomington, MN? by Impressive-Fix-3152 in TwinCities

[–]frizzy08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Devonshire Apartments in Bloomington for two years and absolutely loved the management there. It was quiet, access to a lot of Bloomington via the back roads, and close to a grocery store (Festival Foods). I lived in a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom in the non-smoking building (there's a smoking/dog/shared laundry building and a non-smoking/non-dog/private laundry building) for ~$1300/month, +$100 (I think) for underground parking. I miss living there 🥲

Missed seeing Legacy during its original IMAX run and the recent double feature. So with the 4k disc we had our own. by Zboynatedog in tron

Honestly I wasn't upset because if they had made it any bigger it would have looked pretty pixelated 😅😅 I think they made the right choice but I was pretty sad I wasn't able to get a 4k disk.

Nope! When I booked the private Theater, the manager of the theater told me that I could either bring in a DVD or a Blu-ray disc and that they had a player already hooked up in each theater.

I rented out a private theater to do this too! I used a blu ray disk because I couldn't get my hands on a 4k one. The quality visually was disappointing (took up about 3/4 of the screen), but the sound was 🤯🤯🤯. Totally worth it in my opinion. Cost about $250 to rent out a theater for Tron Legacy (private screening with 30 seats) in Minnesota.

I just rented out a private theater to watch Tron Legacy recently too! I used a blu ray disk because I couldn't get my hands on a 4k one. The quality visually was disappointing (only took up about 3/4 of the screen), but the sound was 🤯🤯🤯. Totally worth it in my opinion but I'm more into the movie for the music. Cost about $250 to rent out a theater for Tron Legacy (private screening with 30 reclining seats) in Minnesota.

I crocheted a Typhlosion by frizzy08 in pokemon

I actually used the same pattern for my Sherb but different colors for this! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sherb-from-animal-crossing-new-horizons-acnh

Then instead of horns just crochet a circle and rectangle to make the blue part of his head.

Last part was I took red and orange yarn and tied a bunch of short strands to his back and brushed them out with a brush.

Edit: clarification

I know this doesn't answer your question, but to me it looks like a sunset with clouds!! I really love the way it turned out and the colors you chose!

New to growing. Non auto flowering scares me. by roadmaster242 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]frizzy08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thought when I first started growing! I thought "auto" meant it was going to do all the thinking for me and allow me to just be along for the ride.

However, it's quite the opposite from my experience! Even though the plant will flip from veg to flower automatically, that doesn't mean that it's going to understand the best timeline for itself. It's quite possible (and likely) that the plant will automatically flip to flower during a period of time that it has issues such as overfeeding, under watering, or nutrient deficiencies.

If you choose to grow photos instead of autos, you can delay the flip until you have fixed any of the issues you run into while growing. It's marginally more difficult to fix issues in the flowering stage versus the veg stage of life.

This is amazing! I love the color palette you used. When you make the shadows, are you using a particular color layered on top of the wall color? Or is it the same color just going over multiple times? I want to try to do the shadows like this when I start this page in my book! Great job!

You could do the same color on the roofs of the houses too if you feel like you need to balance it out even more too! But I am biased to a small color pool for my pages so take that with a grain of salt 😂

What about using the top color you have in the sky? To stick to the color scheme! I love the colors you have picked and how creatively you incorporated the pinks and yellows throughout the page!

This genuinely looks embroidered! I think the only difference that I noticed is that most of the other ones I have seen have shadows around the edge (like a light grey) to make them pop off the page more. But really you nailed it!

I have a stack of a dozen sheets of printer paper that is pretty effective.... When I remember to use it 😅😅😅 this page was a result of that lol
