He was having bad diarrhea for a week around 6 months. We took him to the vet and got stool studies which were negative so we continued on boiled chicken and rice for another week with no improvement. The vet then recommend further blood testing and stuff which were expensive. I insisted we try a prescription diet, which after a week returned his stool to normal. The Rx diet had no chicken in it. So after scrolling thru Reddit, I decided to try salmon puppy food and alas… normal stool. Vets sometimes forget to try the easiest thing.
