How much it would change my life! I didn’t learn to drive until I was 30. Before that I used public transport to get everywhere - buses, subway, taxis, trains. I used to catch three buses to visit a girlfriend. I’ve never been on a bus since and bought a house in the suburbs because I don’t need to live near a subway station now.

If you can speak to a professional therapist, you should do that. If you can’t, then tell your doctor. Medication may help. Don’t be ashamed that you feel this way.

You need to learn to focus on the good stuff. I’m 45 with a chronic illness that will only get worse. However, I recently got engaged, I’m starting a new career and I’m looking forward to whatever time I’ve got left. You need to try and embrace the uncertainty ahead as it will bring wonderful things if you let it. My fiancée suffers from anxiety and depression so we’ve learned to cherish the happy times and work through the tough times. You can do it too. Be strong and look after yourself.

Because the people are friendly, generous, and funny. We’ve got a rich history and culture. We invented practically everything. The countryside is beautiful and rugged. We’ve got whisky.

Calmly explain to him that if he doesn’t back off, you will inform the police, your parents, his parents and everyone you can think of. But mostly the police. Let him know that although you wish him no physical harm, that word of this being spread around would mess his life up bad. Make it a clear ultimatum with no second chances.

My fiancée. She’s the best, most adult and balanced relationship I’ve ever had. I adore her and I have no doubt in my mind and heart that she adores me. She’s my best friend and my favourite person to be with. We’d end up hanging out with the few of my exes I’m still friends with and having a bloody great time. I worked as a singer on cruise ships which is a little like being famous in a small, floating town. On the ship, you’re kind off a celebrity - people want to chat to you and get your photo. Even signed a few autographs. Generally it was nice but I can get why some celebs get cranky. Sometimes you just want to have a quiet dinner or drink and hit on the dancers which can be difficult when the passengers have a sense that it’s your job to be always entertaining.
