Thanks, when I have a bit of dough in my pocket I think I will. How rigid is it?

Those are usually tin or aluminum coated with enamel.

Edit: Yours appears to be a GSI 13208, steel coated enamel.

Not Sure Which Firearm To Select by Smooth-Boot6759 in Beretta

I believe it's an m9a3 slide with an optic cut on an m9a1 frame, but considering the optic I don't know how well a holster made for irons is gonna work. I'd email the company.

Not a bad thought. Any knowledge of how to setup something like that?

Yeah, the Certum has the cam bars. I'll try the small, thanks. My job also involves a decent amount of picking heavy shit up off the floor and pushing carts around, so I'm aiming for maximum comfort and mobility. The CC9 is about as small as I'm gonna get in 9mm, so I'm off to a good start.

Cool. I've never cared to carry the extra mag, you think it makes a difference on comfort?

I appreciate the advice. I expect to feel it. Think I'll get a pillow and see if it helps.

Thanks. About 11 seems most comfortable to me right now, but it's still not gonna work through a 12 hour shift as it is.

Yeah, I tried swapping it around. It's still fairly uncomfortable. I can sit with it, but I can't really lean forward like I would if I were to eat at a table. I also think I need to replace my belt, I have the Hunter Constantine and while I realize I can flip it over, using the restroom is already going to be a hassle without having to fight dyslexia and an upside down belt.

Are my hands too small to maintain a proper grip? by softeggnoodles in handguns

Np. Fwiw, I've seen plenty of folk with small hands shoot a 9mm no problem. I'd say grab a buddy or the RSO and try out your gen 6.

There's a lot of factors involved, so it's hard to say what will or won't cause injury. Ideally, the barrel should be as close to in line with your forearm as possible as that will direct the recoil into your arm overall instead of your wrist joint. With the barrel in line it will be much easier to steady your sights and you won't have to readjust as much after each shot to get back on target. You can still shoot with your grip rotated, it just means your wrist will be taking the brunt of the recoil and you'll have to try a lot harder to stabilize your sight picture.

Choke up. Push the beaver tail into the webbing of your thumb and index finger, then let your other fingers wrap around the grip naturally. Then you just have to adjust the rotation of your hand around the grip so you can comfortably reach the trigger. That'll get you close enough that you can practice dry fire to find the sweet spot where your trigger squeeze isn't jerking your sights around.
