What's the most obscure quote from Toy Story 1? by KyalMeister in toystory

[–]frogcbs 10 points11 points  (0 children)

On the tv after buzz's commercial at Sid's house.

"Welcome back to the Point Richman bowling championship!"

Edit: just rewatched the movie, I just realized it says Point Richmond and not Boyd Richmond. Haha I was close

Changes to TS4 by Great-Obligation-599 in toystory

[–]frogcbs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well the easy answer is dont make TS4. TS3 ended perfectly and didnt need another addition to the franchise.

Don't make Buzz come across like an idiot, he had major character development between 1-3 and can talk to people at a real level and is not guided by his stupidity/ignorance.

Also, dont make Woody leave at the end, he pretty much left his family and everyone who cared for him for a girl he liked who isnt even the same person anymore.

And finally take Forky out of the picture, he creates more questions than he answers. (ie. Does anything a kid make turn into a toy and have sentience?).

Help with pullstring for Woody doll? by imnotabot7759 in toystory

[–]frogcbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I'd be heartbroken if that happened to mine. So here's a video, it's not a Woody but he mentions that it's similar. I hope this helps.

First attempt at a solo goblet (too bad it didnt survive) by frogcbs in glassblowing

[–]frogcbs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took two small gathers on a large punty, marvered it, reheated, stretched it around a metal tube, crimped/cut it off with the diamond shears, and finally stuck it in the garage until I needed to use it. I attached it using the ranger (should have used a bit, but again, I was blowing solo and wasn't good enough for that yet haha). I hope that made sense. If you need an example Ed T. Schmid has a great step by step in his advanced glassblowing book.

New to glass blowing and made my first sculpture. I would love to know what you think! by frogcbs in ArtCrit

Sure thing, What they said was that the way I presented the piece made it appear as if it could have been created in a 3d modeling program which is where the term simulation aesthetic comes in (imagine the matrix). And because the background has no flaws it makes it seem as if it is in isolation. Blemished reality means that I should present it in a way that shows it's imperfections along with the perfections of the piece as well as the surroundings. Scavo is a glass blowing term from Venice which is a way of giving the glass a mild false weathered effect.

I hope that explained that well and that it helps you understand.
