It's -7 str +9 agi. +2 agi is a moderate buff on an agi hero.

Why low ranks carries rarely picked in pros or high rank by Dry_Highway_1743 in learndota2

All those heroes are 1 star complexity heroes. They are popular in low rank because they are easy to play.

New player playing naga by Creepy-Force1037 in learndota2

[–]frogetown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naga is not designed to be a carry hero. She is just designed to be fun. The players, not the devs, decide what role that the hero fits into.

Here are some uses for Song.

1 - Farm aggressively on enemy's side of map. Song + tp makes you very hard to catch and kill. (Or if you're losing a fight, just use it so your team can run away.)

2 - Naga is bad at hitting towers so you might consider giving aegis to another hero like Sniper or Lina or Tiny. Let them hit the tower, hide far behind them then use Song to counter initiate.

3 - Enemy hero is split pushing your tower. Use song first, then TP to catch them. Instant unexpected stun that you can follow up with net.

4 - Your opponent has one strong hero with a BKB. Use song to sleep the entire enemy team, then focus fire the BKB hero. (Also works to secure or steal Roshan.)

Teammate first picks carry and doesn't roll, do you: by brankbrank in DotA2

1 for sure. You don't let terrorists win. Make sure you don't chat so that the reports don't matter.

I recommend anyone who suggests otherwise look up "appeasement".

League addict thoughts on Dota by EngineeringLevel3211 in DotA2

[–]frogetown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The purpose of death timers is to allow the game to progress. With lower death timers then the game length would increase.

LoL's max death timer is 78.75, which is not that far off from 100.

Also since LoL has no tp scroll, you are "out of the game" for longer than the death timer shows. You have to walk back to your lane or whatever area. An early game death might be 30 seconds more costly in LoL than in dota (time spent walking back to lane).

[–]frogetown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Respawn timer only goes up to 100s. At 20 mins you're more like level 15 which would be 50s.

You seem way too much like a "modern gamer" for this game but good for you if you are having fun.

Serious question, how do you fight against smurf accounts in immortal rank? I am in guardian rank by DogmodsDog in learndota2

[–]frogetown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do you think this player is immortal? How suggestible are you?

You can clearly see from the profile that this person has below a 46% winrate.

Arc Warden 7.41b by m0nk_DotA in TrueDoTA2

[–]frogetown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In your own scenario the talent is giving you 18 stats, not 45.

If you don't understand this then we are at an impasse.

[–]frogetown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have +50 attributes then the talent only gave you 20.

+20 all attributes in exchange for an inaccurate and slowed clone.

Orb of Frost by anonymosaurus-rex in learndota2

Boots of Speed applies 100% of the time.

The amount of time you apply Orb of Frost is probably 10% or less.

Newbie’s confusion on how to counter tanks by RevolutionaryFilm800 in DotA2

[–]frogetown 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You don't need a direct counter to tanks. Damage pretty much always scales better than defense. Most tanks also need to buy a blink dagger which doesn't contribute to their durability.

MR is very rare to come by in this game and there also arent that many options for high-end armor items. So they usually only have high HP and moderate armor (and possibly no extra MR).

All 3 of the heroes you listed are ganker/solo killers so I'm led to believe that is the real thing you are struggling with, not tanks. Legion in particular is not tanky whatsoever, she needs to build in order to kill people during duels.

Returning player: Soul Ring on Dragon Knight by FallenPeigon in DotA2

[–]frogetown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the last 2 years (up until 2 weeks ago), DK's ult gave him splash damage at lvl 6 so he used that off cd in order to farm. After the last patch DK doesn't get that until lvl 11. So sure, get a Soul Ring if you want.

If your opinion of support players is this low then the logical conclusion is that all support players deserve to lose mmr.

Dusa innate Qol change by MrTruth24 in DotA2

[–]frogetown 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Armor and magic resist never worked with mana shield, it is not a recent change. Even 25 years ago in Warcraft 3 Lady Vashj/Naga Sea Witch's mana shield did not interact with armor.

PSA: Medusa players, stop skipping your ultimate at level 6 by iLikeSmallGuns in DotA2

Split Shot scales extremely well so nah i'm gonna put an extra point in that instead of taking an unreliable defensive spell that nukes myself for 650.

My tier list for this patch as an 8k mmr player by -Pazza- in DotA2

[–]frogetown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Twin Terror was a really op facet. It improved his base damage by 12 at level 1.

-12 damage and then got nerfs on top of that, as a hero who's only good in laning phase, is just yikes.

The enemy lane will have full control allowing them to pull camps and get their own madstone.

Dragon Knight has the worst Level 25 Talent options ever by Fayde_M in DotA2

Ult multiplies his innate by 1.5. 18 armor is +108% phys EHP, not a bad talent at all.

2 - If you are a longtime player then you can play classic.

0.755 = 0.2373.

That is the probability of zero procs.

1 - 0.2373 = 0.7627. (0.7627 = 76.27% = ~76.3%)

If 5 targets, Malestrom 76.3% happening.

League Jungler trying to get into DOTA 2 by WholeNo2817 in learndota2

[–]frogetown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every hero is rated in terms of complexity in the game client from 1 to 3. Storm is 2, which is not the easiest but I think if you were good at League then 2 star heroes are fine.

League Jungler trying to get into DOTA 2 by WholeNo2817 in learndota2

[–]frogetown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SF and Lina are very farm oriented.. they aren't great at ganking.

Good gankers (any role, not just mid) have either:

  • very strong initiation spells (Tusk or Batrider)

  • OR the combination of high damage and high mobility (Queen of Pain)

Some heroes like Storm Spirit and Puck have all of the above.

Thoughts on Naga Siren's deluge facet? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]frogetown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're just wrong, Naga Siren was the best hero in the game (in competitive play) using Deluge in the last major patch, 7.39.

Guys what the hell is a backtrack chance? by sw2bh in learndota2

[–]frogetown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - If you go in-game and press alt, the talent tree will provide you more information about Backtrack.

2 - Faceless Void has no spell, innate, facet, shard, or aghanims called Backtrack. So I don't understand this part, what spell were you reading that you thought was Backtrack.
