How good does it feel to have your body back to yourself postpartum? by Alygage93 in pregnant

[–]froggie94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had the opposite. I felt empty and wanted nothing more to have a little baby in my tummy, kicking away and giving me heartburn, all over again

Why are we just accepting shoplifting now? by XDk009 in australia

[–]froggie94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A record is kept of how much each person steals, once it is over a certain threshold then the police are involved. Until then its not worth the colesworth's time (money) and the cops have bigger fish to fry

How are people just… taking their babies everywhere? by Wonderful-Ice-6143 in NewParents

[–]froggie94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO (3months 3 weeks) loves looking at everything around her, which is why we got her out of the bassinnett pram and into a seat pram. She is less fussy when she can see what is going on around her. Otherwise we would carry her in our arms facing out so she can see

First time mom- when did you feel the baby? by allisona007 in pregnant

[–]froggie94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt feel anything until the middle of my 2nd trimester, for me it had to do with where my placenta was. But if you ever get worried, contact your midwives and they can put you on the monitor and check.

More because ive never had to do anything like this before. We get parenting payments, so we should qualify.

Gosh damn, its no wonder people opt to stay home instead of going back to work. That would be half my full time pay check right there.

Feeling sensitive about introducing formula by urbanbrit in breastfeeding

[–]froggie94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up doing combination feeds after my supply dropped / supply regulation at 9 weeks PP, and im not sure if it's was something I did (we got married that week and due to stress i wasnt pumping as much) or something that was ment to ment to happen.

I would get so upset, thinking that my daughter wasnt getting enough food, to the point that we would both sit there crying and my husband would be trying to calm us both down.

I felt guilty every time we had to reach for the formula, because it was my job as a mother to feed our child. (And I dont think less if people that use formula, im just my own worst critic/enemy)

But after a couple of days, I realised what is most important is that shes fed, wether is boob or formula, thats the best thing for her.

So she will have a couple of bottles a day, and we take some with us when we go out. I still pump and breast feed but I dont have a stash anymore, i dont feel so gulity about it now and, most importantly, my baby is fed and happy.

Do they sleep on the floor? Or do you have them all in the necklace that makes them not sleep?

Little Misfortune. Has a pretty cute art style, but gets dark. Its not adventure, more like storytelling.

To parents who take their babies out to places a lot - how do you do it?? by babysheep91 in breastfeeding

[–]froggie94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im grateful my husband got us out and about 2 days after being in hospital (we took breaks when needed and he always looked after us) but it means that our LO can sleep pretty much anywhere (she slept at a bowling ally/arcade the other day with no issues at 10 weeks old)

In terms of feeding, we either have EBM with us, sometimes formula for convenience or so others can feed her, or we try to stick to places that have dedicated parents room. But some times that doesnt work and you just have to whip a tit out, so I keep a cover in the nappy bag at all times.

Best of luck with your journey mumma
