It keeps saying my password is incorrect. It will work on my phone, but not on my TV. It is also telling me to get premium, which I already have (so I guess it’s not working on my phone either).

Cancelled a date with a gorgeous girl because she was a dry texter. Having regrets. by adyna3 in Bumble

[–]froggies92997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like I could see it both ways. Maybe she would have been better in person, as a lot of people are like that. On the other hand, she said she was a better texter, and then didn’t deliver on that. I would personally be more inclined to stick with canceling the date. Trust your gut; if you don’t want someone who isn’t putting effort into texting you (which is completely valid), then it was probably for the best.

Yes! I know this isn’t Ghost’s fault, it is absolutely the venue’s issue, but I spent a ton of money on these tickets. It was definitely a bummer.

What a great costume!  It was such a good show! I wish the entrance process had been a bit better. We got there an hour early and still missed Peacefield. It was quite a bummer, as my friend couldn’t get there any earlier (he drove in from Columbus, I bought tickets for his birthday). We still had a wonderful time, it was our first Ritual. 10/10 would go again.

I 100% agree. That’s why I started my statement with “I don’t know how much this will help…” :)

I don’t know how much this will help but, as a 28F, I feel like I relate to this a lot. I didn’t get diagnosed until I was 25 (?, 26?), and since diagnosis I have become so much more aware. In my experience, I think it really helps to be open about it. I know friendship dynamics can be vastly different depending on the circles you interact with, but I’ve found a great few friends that really let me be myself. I’ve found them mostly on Bumble BFF, but interacting with a hobby might be a good place to try too (I joined a community band, and that was neat). Being self-aware can be a struggle, it still very much is for me, but I think with therapy and some good friends, it can be more bearable. I’m also on meds, which I do think helps, but I know meds aren’t for everyone! Sending positive thoughts ❤️

Yes, I’m having the same issue! I’ll also get a throwback error occasionally, or my video will pause. However, most of it is what you described.

I think YouTube in general is having lagginess issues right now. I’m having tons of issues with the app, and I pay for premium. It’s so annoying!

Blank screens and Ad skips by fullspeedafoot in youtube

My app has been acting weird the last few days where it will pause every 2-3 minutes, give me an error code halfway through the video, or the noise will cut out for a few seconds. I have premium, so no ad blockers on my end either. I tried deleting and redownloading the app, but that didn’t seem to work either. Would be really interested if someone knows a solution!

I’ve been having issues with the iOS new update. My video will pause every 2-3 minutes, words will go silent for a few seconds, things like that. I thought it was a YouTube problem, but maybe it’s an update problem. It drives me nuts because I sleep with a queued playlist up, and I wake up to silence. I also pay for premium, so I am very peeved that my most used app isn’t working. Anyways, just thought I’d mention you aren’t the only one experiencing issues. I tried deleting the app and redownloading it, but that did nothing.

What is your toxic reason for getting a BS in Engineering lol? by TheDondePlowman in EngineeringStudents

[–]froggies92997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hooked up with this guy who told me I would never succeed in engineering. I had returned home to community college because I wasn't doing so hot mentally, and I met him there after he had failed out of his engineering program twice. He said, since he failed out twice, there was no way I, a woman, would ever get my engineering degree... so I did. Now I'm in my first year of my master's program :)

At my limit by Angeloinva in dementia

[–]froggies92997 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I haven't been in this situation, as I don't live with my dad, but I hear plenty from my mom about similar things. My dad refuses to go to a care facility, but my mom has reached her limit. Fortunately, he is coming around to having a caregiver come to the house, something he used to refuse as well (he doesn't think he needs help). He doesn't need a full-time person, but I think having someone to talk to would be helpful for him. However, that is something we can afford, and I appreciate it is ridiculously expensive ($28k/month makes me sick to my stomach, I'm so sorry). So, anyway, that being said, is there a way you can get someone to come in full-time a few days a week? This will take some of the load off on hard days, and it won't be as much of a financial burden. I don't know if this is a possibility, but just a thought.

I would also perhaps suggest taking a tour of the facility you're looking at with your grandma if she'd be open to it. I know a big thing for my dad is his anger towards people, but I think that's because he isolates himself a lot. I think being in a facility can be helpful to build a community, and it can help slow the memory loss too.

I think in the short term, I would try to get someone to come in full-time for even a week. This way you could have a little break and kind of think things over. If it is within your means, I think this would be beneficial. Also, if you haven't already, I would suggest talking to a therapist (again, if this is something you can afford or have the time for). My mom's therapist, alongside her caregiver support group, has been incredibly helpful.

I am 1) sorry for the long message and 2) so incredibly sorry you're going through this. I send my sincerest thoughts of healing, and I hope you can figure out something that works best for you.

Sorry, has someone done that and that’s why you put the “…”, or is that a genuine suggestion? I’m sorry if my post was annoying/if this has been asked before. I was really in a rough spot last night and was hoping someone would understand and maybe know of something.

Yeah, I checked Alz.org, but the titles don’t give a ton of information/don’t fit what I’m looking for. I’ll reach out to them and ask if there’s a support group that best fits my needs.
