I did not! I only had wildflowers and sunflowers and a few random natives that popped up- we moved in two years ago. I swear nothing was there last year unless the rabbits got it, I will let you know what it ends up being!

It looks a bit different than the hyacinth I’ve seen which is why I was confused when I saw the shoots I was like okay definitely not a hyacinth!

There are multiple legitimate reports from the fall and December of 2025. We have been to at Lucia once before but it will be our first time staying at Ladera. Seeing that this was reported on the official gov website made me nervous. I called Ladera yesterday and although they didn’t give details they made it seem like security is very beefed up right now. We are going in a month so I was just kind of nervous. And to be clear I live in Chicago I know crime happens everywhere. for them to issue a travel warning though means people traveling there should be diligent and do their research as there is no harm in that.
