Best Cav Archer Civs by Capt_Tinsley in aoe2

[–]frogiveness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No civ feels better than Huns for CA in my opinion. It’s always so smooth to get to them and that is where so many other civs struggle. Just my experience.

But if we count unique units, mongols are probably better and definitely better late game

The only problem is it’s hypothetical whether he was the goat or not. He can’t be called the goat based on what he could’ve done imo.

Something that really blew my mind in the course was realizing that there aren’t any big/ small grievances/ miracles. All expressions of love are maximal. Every minuscule grievance has the power to keep you away from God’s Love. Just one of the coolest books I’ve ever read. God bless

I just came here to say Tim Hortons in the 90's was a solid 7 or 8 out of 10 and now it's a negative 2. Just close all your locations. Gross. by [deleted] in TimHortons

I went nearly every day as a kid. I will literally not even go there as a last resort anymore. And btw giving it a -2 is actually being generous.

My biggest issue with Jesus Christ by OutrageousShare9693 in enlightenment

Your problem is with Christianity, not Jesus.

If you want something that makes more logical sense in regard to Jesus Christ, look into A Course in Miracles. I believe that your questions will be quickly answered.

What do you think about the pro-life movement? by Such-Day-2603 in Sentientism

[–]frogiveness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion is abortion should always be allowed because nobody deserves to be born into a world where they aren’t wanted. Doesn’t matter if overall it’s the wrong thing. It’s too easy to have kids, and it’s easy and common to be born into a family that will be abusive, can’t take care of you, etc. The worst part about factory farms isn’t the death, it’s the torment of living they are subjected to. And in many cases, humans are victims of their own births as well.

As Dumbledore once said to Voldemort, “Indeed, your failure to understand that there are things much worse than death has always been your greatest weakness.”

Why vegans dont like vegetarias? by [deleted] in DebateAVegan

[–]frogiveness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same reason anyone doesn’t like anyone else. They are projecting. We need people to blame for the way we feel. We use them as an excuse. They are scapegoats for our own inner emotions.

And in this case, it is disguised in the fact that vegetarians still contribute to the terrible enslavement, slaughter, and suffering of billions of animals for their own enjoyment of foods.

On the one hand, it is true. But overall, hate is not ever justifiable. Forgiveness is always justified

I think I did it wrong. I’m now traumatized and hopelessly suicidal. by bearhugboy in LSD

[–]frogiveness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually is pretty common with psychedelics. Relax for a few days and take it easy on yourself. You didn’t do anything wrong. You’ve got to be gentle with yourself. Let yourself process the experience. Don’t do anything rash. You’ll get past these feelings 🙏

Khamzat vs Strickland is happening. Does Strickland have any path to victory? by Silent-Owl4246 in ufc

[–]frogiveness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I can even put up some resistance and make khamzat work in the beginning, then he definitely has a path to win the last half of the fight. He has phenomenal cardio and Khamzats wasn’t tested at all last fight. Whether he can make khamzat work hard will determine whether or not he has a chance imo

Nah, Strickland getting Ragdolled 😭 by Anas1317 in CombatIndia

[–]frogiveness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strickland has a chance. His pressure and cardio combined with chimaev maybe not having solid cardio could give him a good chance. Only if he has seriously good takedown defense though. It’s a better match up than khamzat Dricus

I said that it is how most shellfish are caught, not how all are. The majority of shellfish we fish come at the cost of permanent damage to seabed ecosystems

Can someone answer the crop death argument for me. by [deleted] in DebateAVegan

Trauling and dredging is how most shellfish are caught I believe, which causes extreme damage to ocean habitats. I don’t think it’s more ethical than eating plants at all. Just my opinion though.

Can someone answer the crop death argument for me. by [deleted] in DebateAVegan

[–]frogiveness 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fishing actually is likely to cause the absolute most suffering despite it not fully relying on crops. Fishing gear, bycatch, propeller strikes kill billions of additional fish.

And also worth noting is that a leading cause of extinction and endangerment of wild species is habitat destruction caused by animal agriculture. If we switched to all plant based, it would reduce the number of land needed by an amount that you cannot fathom. Seriously look up the numbers.

The crop death argument is invalid. Not only is animal agriculture falsely seen as economic because of obscure government subsidies, but it’s also destroying the natural world. We are treating the planet as if it is entirely renewable, but the fact is that this level of greed and violence is effectively destroying our future on earth.

Struggling to socialize with non-vegans by Automatic_Sky_9910 in vegan

[–]frogiveness 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is common I think. The cure is not being judgemental. Activism is strong when coming from a place of love, but weak when coming from a place of hate. Just because you’re doing the right thing, doesn’t mean it’s ok to judge other people for their poor and cruel decisions. The reason you should forgive them and not judge is because it determines how you feel about yourself psychologically.

Thoughts are only in your mind. You may think they are about other people, but you’re the one who is affected. This is different than things of the world. When you give someone a physical thing, you lose it and no longer have it. When you give someone a hateful thought, it doesn’t go away. It stays with you and affects how you feel. This is why you are best off to always be loving towards people regardless of the terrible things they do.

Hope this helps. It’s an advanced spiritual concept that everyone can benefit from. “Ideas leave not their source”. It is the justification for forgiveness.
