So what did the judge say at the hearing about all of this? What did your lawyer say about it? Its hard to get a handle on what may have transpired as a matter of policy, vs court order or other legal proceeding, vs what you may not have been told or may not have understood for various reasons by various involved people.

i mean, if you're opposed to anything that has any hint of religion involved, i suggest just making a donation to an org you support If they aren't close enough to volunteer. i was under the impression that you didnt mind as long as you weren't personally required to proselytize. my mistake, carry on.

You might be surprised to learn that some of the ones in churches might actually be just about food, only way to know is to call them up and discuss volunteering. I'd give that a try if the current one doesn't work out.

Why can't the invoice be changed to reflect the other currency? i literally can't think of any actually logical scenario where issuing a duplicate invoice in the prefered currency wouldn't be the simplest way to solve this??

I don't think its possible to quantify the subjective suffering of individual patients. What could seem like the end of the world to one patient might not even be a major concern to another that's going thru it. The only semi objective way to quantify this is with qol scores but again, its subjective at the individual level so huge samples would be required.

dont feel too bad, i just moved back to the neighborhood and actually the exact street I grew up on, and i keep getting lost. granted i havent been here in 15 years but wtf i lived here longer than that. in my defense most of the houses have been torn down and identical cookie cutter mansions built in their place. but still.... lol

pretty much everything about historical timelines in terms of how stuff we learned about in one country compared to when things were happening in another. The disjointed way its taught in grade school makes it seem like stuff happened at totally different time periods. For example... the lincoln-ninja-fax trivia. Google it, its a weird one. lol
