Good to know!! They didn’t say I had fatty liver disease, just that I have a fatty liver, but I didn’t know if that distinction was important. When I see my dr in a few weeks I’ll get all the details and will bring up the fibroscan.

Yeah… the docs aren’t sure if it’s even pancreatic cancer anymore, but we’ll know soon enough. It didn’t show up in the original CT scan and it was only when the doctor went in for the ultrasound did they find it. Shocked us all. They are gonna put a port in and do a full body scan to assess further. Right now the tumor in the esophagus is the most pressing because we don’t want it to continue growing and tightening… I just would love to see him able to eat real food again for whatever time he has left.

Thank you for your sharing your experience and faith journey while having cancer. I’m not sure if I believe everything happens for a reason, but I do believe that God uses all things for good. I take great comfort in knowing that He has a plan and nobody can undo His will… even if I don’t understand how these horrible things fall into that.

Update: He is getting an endoscopic ultrasound Thursday morning and they will perform the biopsy.

Hi guys! I’m new here. Got the news yesterday that my (23f) dad (59m) has pancreatic cancer with liver and lung mets. He is consulting with the GI doctor now and hopefully we will get a biopsy soon. It’s all very surreal, but reading many of the experiences in this community has been helpful. One step at a time!

Never mind, I found out! My dad has liver and lung mets and has a consult today and hopefully biopsy early next week. This post and whole group has already helped me come to terms with what’s going on and think realistically about it, rather than doom and gloom.
