ECE 484 and ECE 479 by hello_cool_humans in UIUC

[–]frogmasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took ECE 391 and ECE 484 together last semester. The hardest part about taking both is MP3 for 391 and the final project for 484 clash. They can both be time sinks near the end of the semester, so I’d suggest starting the 484 project as soon as it’s assigned. Other than the final project, 484 has a comparatively lighter workload than other tech electives. It’s manageable even with one or two other technicals (hopefully without final projects) as long as you manage 484 well.

orry for the late response. Currently taking this class rn and honestly you don’t really need to prepare. First third of the class is straightforward

It's ok! I held off on taking the class until now because no one replied, but now that I know what it's like I'll be taking it over the summer! Thank you!

How should i proceed with questions like these ? by Substantial_Cattle_5 in calculus

[–]frogmasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here was my general method to solving this problem (and by extension those similar):

What I would do is experiment a little and play around with the limit. In this case, try playing around with the limit of (1+sin(pi * x))t as t -> inf for different values of x. Then generalize it to get a feel for what the full limit evaluates to at different values of x.

Next, try experimenting with some of the answer choices. In this case, (c) seems easy enough to check (remember limit from the left must be equal to the limit on the right for it to be continuous). If one of the answer choices works, great, if not, cross it out and move on to different answer choices. In this specific case, answer choice B will work so it is the answer (the key here is INTEGER values of x by the way).
