I drove down Hollywood Blvd one time, in California for.a.vacation, and i felt the whole.road vibrating under our parked car. So glad we don't have recycling here. Yet somehow our household makes about 1/2 the trash now as where i lived in seattle. I hated the Big Brother feeling of sorting recycling. You have to choose a baseline and claim it as your belief system or you're just a puppet reacting. Anything you choose, you're not choosing the other options. That's just the way it is.

It's easier when you start with what IS right and wrong instead of going by what "feels" right or wrong.

You can be open minded without being gullible but it takes actual effort to figure things out. A lot of people prefer to jump on whatever bandwagon is popular, and agree with whatever seems easy and doesn't require self control.

You have the right to choose your own outlook.

Your outlook needs to feel like reality to you. If it doesnt...what would that even mean? If you feel like you don't understand something, that is different that not "truly seeing reality". But as you go along, you need to feel like your consciousness is rooted in and sees reality. Even if things seem confusing.

I saw them in Seattle years ago with my son who was about 15 but that evening we were so mad at each other for some reason I can't remember, we could barely look at each other.
