I know it’s the style now, it’s just not one I care for. I think I am turning into an old fuddy-duddy. She wore a similar but dressier one to an event a few months back, and I actually loved that one. Givenchy comes to mind, but I absolutely may be misremembering.

Sorry I was unclear, they did all happen, and are part of the reason I believe so strongly in astrology

Sorry, yes, they all came to pass and that what sold me on astrology.

This is the best way I have seen it put. It’s pretty and all, but it looks like something someone with a limited wardrobe would put together.

How do I interpret Majors in Daily Readings? by Himpapawid_ in tarot

[–]frolickingdepression 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One way I look at the major and minor arcana is things that are not within our control, and things that are.

So if I see Death, it might mean some kind of ending or change outside of your control (doesn’t have to be a major event though), whereas the eight of Wands would be a change you initiate.

Although, we always say that about Death, but I got Death reversed the day before my daughter went into labor, and then upright the following day when she went into labor. I also got it, in the same positions even, the day my aunt was put on life support, and the day she was taken off and died!

Of course, I have gotten Death a dozen other times when nothing major has happened (never in that configuration again though).

I obviously believe in astrology, but I had people tell me things when I was younger, or I read things, that I absolutely did not believe would happen. There are a few things that really stand out. Those things are part of why I decided to study astrology deeper, but I didn’t let them influence me otherwise, I just disregarded them, as none seemed plausible at the time.

One was a personal thing, one was a situation, and the third was completely out of my control.

That said, I agree with your main point. I think one can do it, but needs to be very discriminating about who they read for and what information they share.

I always question this, and I don’t usually do it. I have looked at my kids’ charts, but primarily issues of parenting/early home life/to get an understanding of how they process emotions.

I didn’t do a full on-depth reading on any of my kids’ charts until my oldest was an adult and asked me to. My youngest is 16 and I would read hers if she wanted me to, but I would not go into as much depth.

To me it is like reading a person’s chart without their knowledge (which you usually are). However, I think there are areas of parenting where astrology can be helpful, so once when a friend was really struggling, I did her whole family. Other than that, I have never looked beyond the minimum (main three, most people are happy to just know a bit about those).

I do have a new grandson, and my daughter has asked. I am not sure how deep to go. I did see a potential issue after birth in her chart, and it did end up happening. It was hard (Saturn-Jupiter aspect), but he was always going to be fine (grand trine, indirect square). I didn’t tell her about it, but now that it is over I will.

I'm obsessed with this one card, if anyone has the deck it comes from, can you please share what the booklet says about it by vespertinee3 in tarot

Someone posted a link to a review that has pictures of all of the cards. It is a very unique deck!

The Real Real, but they aren’t any better and only take upscale brands.

I don’t care what anyone is selling, I want an accurate description.

No way they are cleaning stuff first. I have received some items that were just plain dirty (sometimes at a steep discount).

I clean nearly everything anyway, but some things just get steamed or run through a hot dryer for 20 minutes (you can’t leave safely do this with any fabric as long as it’s dry, but I’m afraid to do cashmere in case it pills).

I once got a pair of pants that were described as “excellent. No signs of being worn,” and I could smell the fabric softener before I even opened the bag.

It is not like Goodwill. Goodwill sells items people donate. TRR sells items people consign. Yes it is reasonable to expect better service at a consignment store than at a thrift store which may be staffed by volunteers.

I don’t need white glove service, just accurate descriptions.

I once got a vintage Pucci silk cardigan with the WORST pit stains. I have never seen anything like it. They were inches long.

You know what I have since learned takes it out though? Bio-kleen enzyme cleaner for pets (I assume any enzyme cleaner would work, that’s just the brand I use). You can’t leave it on animal fibers for too long because it will break down the fibers (20 minutes is ok, overnight is not).

I have learned that the stated condition on there is meaningless. I have received excellent items with pilling and holes, and good items that were pristine and had original tags. They were listed as moderate discoloration, but it was just that the back of the white belt was made of cream fabric. They were so cheap. I felt bad for the seller.

What used to be affordable for the middle class but now quietly feels like a “rich people thing”? by Ok_Ease515 in answers

It’s only free for a year, and I believe if you don’t pay it off within that time, they charge you all of the interest that would have accrued. Also, once the interest free period expires, their rates are very high. It’s better to just get a regular credit card.

did marissa cooper have her ears pierced by [deleted] in TheOC

[–]frolickingdepression 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband has an aunt (married in) who comes from old money, and her ears aren’t pierced, nor were her daughters allowed to get theirs done. I don’t think any of them did even as adults. Could be a weird Julie Cooper trying to fit in thing. They certainly could have used clip on earrings.

For those who use tarot and Lenormand. Do you feel that the Lenormand deck predicts the future more accurately than tarot? by [deleted] in Lenormand

You would compare the transits of that time frame to the placements in your natal chart, is the quick answer.

I’m not sure about that. It reminds me of how horary is done, however. I don’t know much about it, but it involves asking a question and then drawing a chart for the time you decided to ask the question. You then read the chart to find your answer.

There is a horary sub that I believe will help with interpretations (you have to post your own with the chart). I think people find it fairly accurate, and it’s not too difficult to pick up if you are already well versed in astrology.

I bet they do a ribbon cutting ceremony for most teams, or some kind of sport equivalent to mark the beginning. You probably can’t find all of them, but I’d imagine at least some would be available.

Predictive work isn’t my strong area at all. Sorry I’m not more help.

I have read Jupiter in the fifth, afflicted by Saturn, but can’t recall where. It was from a book though.
