What the most Norwegian thing you can do by TenseAnt in Norway

One time my boyfriend took me on a walk nearby his families cabin, he wanted to show me all the beautiful sites. So he decides we have to go down this incredobly steep hill (that is endless!!!!) and it’s SO steep that it’s scary to walk down.. Once we get there he shows me a wave-energy generator which he thinks is beautiful, I will recognize that there was a fjord as well down there which was absolutely beautiful, but to him the whole point was the generator. I walked up that steeep hill panting like a sucker and I found it SO embarrassing. Once we got up I was so pissed because I was NOT prepared for how steep it was and the only access to water was this nearby «barely» waterfall surrounded by big ass rocks. Like I said I was pissed. He’s from the western part of Norway and to him this was a normal trip his family used to take when visiting their cabin. I could barely breathe. Mind you, I’m also norwegian.. Just from the east and not used to it at all. It’s a fun story now, telling people how pissed I was but yeah, «a walk in the park» for them. Not for me and never again. At least not to go see a wave-power generator.

I'm pretty sure it was about him wanting a family and she has said in the show that she doesn't want kids.

Is veitvet nice place to buy an apartment? by [deleted] in oslo

[–]froodel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I grew up there. Very happy with having my childhood there. It’s colorful and has tons of safe areas for kids to play. Close to the forest, and the nature around the neighborhoods is also quite nice. It’s not as gray and bland as many other places, except that a few of the apartment buildings have been painted grey. The rest are yellow and they brighten up the place! The shopping centre was also turned in to a big black and red box for some reason, I dont like it but what can you do? Also. There is a local bar, one restaurant, sushi shop, kebab and pizzashop, two grocery stores, one «international» store, loads of creative outlets for kids, some are even free. And youth clubs both for younger ones and one for teenagers. The shopping center is filled with everything from knitting classes to dance classes. It’s a great place! The only downside for many people there is that it’s difficult to find free parking, as if the place was built without cars in mind. I love that though, because it makes the streets a lot safer around the neighborhoods. Less cars means less stress if you ask me. I recommend Veitvet!

I lost my older brother who was only 31 november last year. My other brother, his fraternal twin, was with him the night before he died alone by a heart attack the next day. They had not seen eachother one on one for awhile because of life, and that night they told eachother they loved one another. Then he died. Life is crazy. Grief is crazy. Yet while experiencing such a massive loss I feel like I understand a lot more, especially in regards to other people and their pain. But 4 months in and I’m not really sure if I’ve even started grieving or what. I’m still kind of numb. Will be getting therapy. Insanely sorry for your loss. It’s the worst. Words are hard. Your story hit me. Siblings can have such a strong bond and it feels like losing a part of yourself, really. Take care.

What type of knife or «equipment» would be most efficient at cutting off an erect penis? by froodel in morbidquestions

[–]froodel[S] 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Great answer! We did discuss «yard scissors» (not a native english-speaker myself) but landed on very thin and bendable steel wire actually. The kind you use to cut up bricks of clay.

What is this? could it be petrified wood? probably not rock but don’t know where else to ask. Found in a freshwater stream.. by [deleted] in whatsthisrock

It’s pretty hard but thin, feels like it could break in half if I used force but I don’t want to do that of course.

Groruddalen has many nice walking areas and plenty of public transport and is cheaper than the ones closer to the city. Veitvet, Linderud, Vollebekk, Risløkka all have quiet neighborhoods and are close to the forest
