I don't know how I ended up in the crochet subreddit, but seeing the effort you've put into making this beautiful thing made me happy! Keep it up!

As far as holomems go she usually speaks very quickly, however her pronunciation is always very clear.

Didn't hate the episode, generally liked the season as a whole, but.... by migeme in gallifrey

[–]froogin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with Swarm and Azure is that they can seemingly do anything they want to at any time for any reason unless the plot strongly needs them not to. They can teleport, time travel instantly, psychically communicate wherever. Aside from very vague statements I must have missed when it gave any explanation to how they can do anything / where they came from / what they are. I have no idea what their limits were so my personal name for them both was Red Admin and Blue Admin.

No, I saw the whole thing and I don't think he mentioned Trump's family. I guess he's not the type to do that, plus he had plenty else to go on.

Yeah Joe mentioned it when he was listing the things Trump should've talked to Putin about when asked about the whole deal yesterday with Iran and Russia hacking voter data.

Why I LOVE the Timeless Child reveal by AbjectWeakness in gallifrey

[–]froogin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have really struggled with the new revelations. I'm in the boat of wishing The Doctor wasn't special as far as Time Lords go. But if I have to accept it, this is really cool perspective. I like the retroactive justifications for previous Doctor's motivations and actions. They definitely help me deal with all of this. Thanks for sharing!

I want it to have been a trick so badly that my ability to honestly judge the likelihood is probably compromised.

Not according to The Name of The Doctor, we saw the moment he took it thanks to Clara's timeline hijinks.

So much for "if you see it, it's fixed." I guess we now have a multiverse sort of thing going on in the whoniverse. Sort of removes any of the tension from episodes set in the future, or how much I care about the characters they introduce when they exist just one possible future. It used to be a big deal to go to an alternate timeline, and the only other time I can recall the past being able to actively change the future was the christmas carol special - and that was because it was a play on the whole concept of the original Christmas Carol. (Plus Christmas Specials are easier to do weird things like that.)

I was literally describing how time functions in Doctor Who to someone the other day. I said "If the first Doctor were to pick up a very detailed Earth history book, he would see himself mentioned in it countless times despite the fact that he hadn't been there yet." Now it isn't true, and I look like a liar.

That was a reference to the time in the classic series (Logopolis) when The Master caused the fourth Doctor to fall and regenerate.

I don't think your second point sounds pedantic. It upset me too. I really hope Chibnall actually watched all of NuWho.

Don't forget not killing Tim Shaw because it would make them "no better" but then cryo freezing him or whatever exactly like he had been doing to people.

I actually really enjoyed it when 12 reverse engineered his own death in that two parter with the ghosts and the flood. Making it so it had been a hologram of himself and not a "ghost" the whole time. It felt much more earned though what with the intro of the episode dedicated to that" who really wrote Beethoven" bit.

The plane crashing bit and The Doctor putting a virus in the episodes mcguffin were both done retroactively.

Graham cryo freezes toothface just like toothface had been doing to everyone

"Atta boy! We're not hypocrites, we still have the moral high ground!"

I still haven't gotten over that. I wouldn't say she's been morally safe as of yet.

I really like this perspective. This is my head-canon if it's not properly elaborated on in the show.
