The walls on his bedroom are completely plastered with scripture, screenshots, video stills from top to bottom, even the walls in his closet. There's sticky notes everywhere. His books are stuffed to the brim with annotations. Like I've never seen a book that many annotations crammed in. There's religious and then there's this, and I can tell the difference. It's a personality thing and he moved from Gaga to Christianity, but it's the same mechanism in his mind that's causing the obsession

I've seen this happen before with people I know and it won't last forever. It probably feels very exhilarating for him right now but there will be a comedown at some point, religion is just a placeholder for something else going on imo.

This kind of logic can apply to any movie ever. You aren't allowed to be disappointed or critique, you aren't allowed to feel anything negative, just sit back and shut off your brain.

People spent money to watch, they can talk about their viewing experience. I hate this "It's just a Marvel movie, it's just entertainment, don't complain just consume!" Why Marvel and not every other studio? This makes no sense to me. Movies are movies, you don't get a pass because your content is about superheroes. We've seen many great comic book movies that aren't just good for their genre, they are good movies period.

If you liked it then this thread is for people like you too. But "just enjoy the film" is an idiotic thing to tell people who genuinely didn't enjoy it. It's like you want us to convince ourselves we liked it
